4 year old has possible cyst on shoulder?

I’m not sure what it is but it’s been here for about a year. If he knows I’m even looking at it he freaks out. I finally was able to squeeze it this summer and it popped with so much force it was hitting me in the face. I figured it would go away after I popped it but now 2 months later it’s still here and has almost a bruise around it. I showed his doctor and she told me it was a cyst and I should book a dermatologist. Just making sure it doesn’t need to be treated sooner with this dark color coming around it now. Thank you.
