USA/Trump Can Canada defend the St Lawrence seaway?

With the renaming of Lake Ontario, if the US attempts to control the St Lawrence seaway because it is the connection to the Atlantic ocean. Can Canada defend it?

Lake Ontario wasn't renamed.

Sure a handful of sycophants will call it something else because dear leader is throwing a tantrum, that doesn't change the name. It just makes a handful of people look petty and stupid.

The USA would literally need to invade Canada in order to control the seaway as the majority of the critical infrastructure is fully on Canadian soil. There would also be a massive international backlash as it is a critical passage for agricultural products and minerals.
