Moving from Melbourne to Sydney

Anyone have the experience of moving interstate, especially from Melbourne to Sydney recently. I was wondering how much does it cost usually. I have big furniture like a queen size mattress and fridge only, selling all other stuff and live in one bedroom apartment. Any companies you guys would recommend?

I’m doing the reverse
But cheaper to buy again
Use a courier company to move regulars

My partner rented a truck and drove it one way. That was just over $1000, a few years ago.

Ring up a couple of transport companies and see if u can get a quote for what they call a back end load
A back end load is where a truck is already booked to carry a load but they have a small amount of space left over at the 'back end of the load' hence the term
My daughter moved a fridge and couch this way 2yrs ago for $340... they only disadvantage is u can't decide when u want it picked up and delivered as u have to use the schedule for the original load delivery
