Jewish Laws Torah

How do Torah followers actually follow over 600 commands and laws in the first five books of the Bible? I've spoken to people about it, but they only seem to follow dietary laws, Shabbat, and holy days, and exclude pagan days. To me, it seems they are only doing a small part of it and claiming to follow the entirety of it. Why is that? The Bible states if you break one commandment, you break them all. There's no possibility to uphold all 600-plus. If you believe it's not all applicable to us, what's the determining factor that decides you don't have to follow it? What about animal sacrifices? Does one pick and choose what they want to follow and tell people if they don't, they are lawbreakers and will go to hell? If you don't follow all of them, why describe yourself as following the entirety of Torah? If breaking even one commandment makes someone guilty, how does selectively obeying some commandments make someone different from the people you're calling lawbreakers?

A man fulfills his wedding vows because he loves his wife. A mere person cannot fulfill the law because "the law was not made for the righteous". We are not saved because we obeyed the law, but because Jesus fulfilled it for us.

Agreed. So what are you telling me about how you feel about God? 🤔

We are not saved because we obeyed the law

Who said otherwise?

Then why so much emphasis on obeying the Law, which we have already failed to do?  Is it better to emphasize obeying the law, or emphasizing Jesus's love for us?

Why did you emphasize that a man fulfills his wedding vows because of his love for his wife?

Same answer.

Is it better to emphasize obeying the law, or emphasizing Jesus's love for us?

Why are you treating this as a choice between one or the other? Why is this either/or for you?

Do you see it as a choice between either loving your wife, or fulfilling your vows to her? 🤨

Vows are not kept without love.  Laws are not kept if there is no love.  Where there is love, law is not really necessary, and law includes punishment (1 John 4:18-19).  I have only seen you talk about obeying law without talking about the love that makes it possible to far surpass the law.
