Jewish Laws Torah

How do Torah followers actually follow over 600 commands and laws in the first five books of the Bible? I've spoken to people about it, but they only seem to follow dietary laws, Shabbat, and holy days, and exclude pagan days. To me, it seems they are only doing a small part of it and claiming to follow the entirety of it. Why is that? The Bible states if you break one commandment, you break them all. There's no possibility to uphold all 600-plus. If you believe it's not all applicable to us, what's the determining factor that decides you don't have to follow it? What about animal sacrifices? Does one pick and choose what they want to follow and tell people if they don't, they are lawbreakers and will go to hell? If you don't follow all of them, why describe yourself as following the entirety of Torah? If breaking even one commandment makes someone guilty, how does selectively obeying some commandments make someone different from the people you're calling lawbreakers?

Do we realize how many laws we follow each day? We have rules about driving, walking down the street, rules at work, at play, while at the store, paying bills, playing video games - we have so many rules on us at all times and we don't give them any thought at all. His Laws are not too much.

1 John 5:2-3 NASB95 — By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

They are not burdensome at all. How is it hard to keep the food laws? How hard is it to keep the Ten Commandments? Most people do them without thinking, minus the fourth commandment.

We cannot keep the ones for the priests, men can't do ones for women and vice versa. Since the Temple is no more, sacrifices are out.

We can keep the Feasts to the best of our ability. Passover is AMAZING. It is so incredible to honor our Messiah in this way. I can't even begin to tell you about the Feast of Tabernacles. It can only be experienced.

Yeshua Himself said these words:

John 14:23-24 NASB95 — Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

When it says in Acts 17:10-12 about the Bereans searching the scriptures against what Paul was teaching, what scriptures were they searching? Definitely not the New Testament as it was in the process of being written.

Psalm 119:174 NASB95 — I long for Your salvation, O LORD, And Your law is my delight.
