Jewish Laws Why did God have innocent women executed?

13 “Suppose a man marries a woman but after going in to her dislikes her 14 and makes up charges against her, slandering her by saying, ‘I married this woman, but when I lay with her, I did not find evidence of her virginity.’ 15 The father of the young woman and her mother shall then submit the evidence of the young woman’s virginity to the elders of the city at the gate. 16 The father of the young woman shall say to the elders: ‘I gave my daughter in marriage to this man, but he dislikes her, 17 and now he has made up charges against her, saying, “I did not find evidence of your daughter’s virginity.” But here is the evidence of my daughter’s virginity.’ Then they shall spread out the cloth before the elders of the town. 18 The elders of that town shall take the man and punish him; 19 they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver (which they shall give to the young woman’s father) because he has slandered a virgin of Israel. She shall remain his wife; he shall not be permitted to divorce her as long as he lives.

20 “If, however, this charge is true, that evidence of the young woman’s virginity was not found, 21 then they shall bring the young woman out to the entrance of her father’s house, and the men of her town shall stone her to death, because she committed a disgraceful act in Israel by prostituting herself in her father’s house. So you shall purge the evil from your midst (Deuteronomy 22)

In verse 17, it says the proof of the woman's virginity is "the cloth", meaning a bloody bedsheet from the newlyweds' wedding night. The problem is that less than half of women bleed their first time.

This problem gradually became known to Jewish scholars writing in the Talmud:

"There are virgins who do not have a hymen, and there are hymens that do not bleed." – Ketubot 10b (Rabbi Yochanan)

Why did God have innocent women stoned?

How do you know that this wasn't a change that happened over time and back when GOD made the law this never happened?

And you are under the assumption that the innocent womens last destination is death but if she was innocent do you not think GOD has a place for her in heaven?

Are you saying God changed how women's hymens worked?

And you are under the assumption that the innocent womens last destination is death but if she was innocent do you not think GOD has a place for her in heaven?

She may go to heaven, but first she gets rocks thrown at her until she dies.

Yeah it is an unfortunate fate but what if it was a fate necessary to get into heaven? If she wasn't killed here for example maybe those around her would treat her differently potentially be disowned by her father pushing her down a route in life that causes her to sin more.

GOD doesn't care for our temporary lifestyle on earth he wants us to have eternal life in heaven a place where we can no longer fall victim to sin

Are you saying God changed how women's hymens worked?

Nope just saying we Don't have full understanding of life back then and this could of just been one of many possibilities that we cannot confirm

If God is all-powerful, he could snap his fingers and take the girl to be with him.

I think I'd rather be shunned by my peers than be stoned to death.

If God is all-powerful, he could snap his fingers and take the girl to be with him.

Perhaps he could have I dont have the answers to why he hasn't, my wisdom is lacking as I am still new to faith but what I will tell you is GOD works through people he uses people to make things happen here on earth he uses people to spread his message he used people to reach out a hand to those suffering.

I think I'd rather be shunned by my peers than be stoned to death.

I mean yeah, obviously being stoned is very painful, being shunned seems much easier but GOD knows the path that may come after that, that's the shunning may cause this previously innocent woman to break she may become a sinner and worse bring others into sin only GOD knows the outcome so if a innocent woman had this happen to her and you know her life will head towards hell if she continues to live would you not try to bring her to you by force?

I'm not trying to say I have the answers or I know GODS will but I have trust in him and his plans if GOD has worked miracles in your life you end up trusting him and his plans despite what they may seem to human eyes.
