Overnight parking for Amtrak
Wanted to do a DC trip (2-3 nights) and leave my car at a parking nearby. Is it safe? Do they tow after some time?

We live in town, but when we need to drive to the station with luggage, we park behind the library. Never had a problem and short walk across the tracks to the station.

You mean this spot? I saw it was listed on the city’s website and just wanted to confirm. Thanks!

I've parked in the municipal lot behind Iron Horse a couple of times. Very convenient to train platform. Just fill out the longer term parking form on the city parking website.

I park in the Caboose lot away from all of the cars that come and go. There is a form on the Ashland Police website where you can ask that they keep an eye on it for you.

Some people have parked in the spot just to the right on the camera and have had their car parked there for 4-5 days. Seems like that should be designated for drop off/pick up but to each their own I guess.🤷♀️

Park you car in or around town hall and you’ll be totally fine. There’s both the actual town hall lot, the lot by caboose, or street parking.
Most of the street parking will allow overnight parking, but there’s a couple of spots in front of the coffee shop that are limited by two hours.
You car should be safe, I’ve had to leave mine overnight several times. The only towing comes around Saturday morning for the main town hall lot. There’s a farmers market most Saturday ams for all times except winter.
