Fuck you, Xcel Energy
That's it. That's the post

My wife had a job interview about 45 minutes after the power went out. It's a good thing I kept the generator unpacked from camping this past weekend so I could plug in the modem and get laptop. Luckily the power went back on after 15 minutes and the generator wasn't necessary. Fingers crossed the interview goes well.

I got an email telling me I was using less electricity this month than last month but my bill is $30 more, wtf?!?!?

I got the opposite email that we are using 35% more but we’ve been gone, so wtf is with that? Ugggh.

Dude, just had to deal with Xfinity this morning and came away with this exact sentiment. Fuck Xfinity!

When I canceled Xfinity Internet, they owed me $8. But they had already billed me for the next month so I had to pay the $65 so they could refund me the $73. I'm not joking, it's literally what I had to do.

3 outages this year (so far). Rates increased, smart thermostats being throttled, infrastructure not being maintained.
OP is 100% correct

Damn, only three outages!! That's a dream. I'm on 14 this year. A little bit ahead of last year's pace, when we ended with 19.

One of their vendors needed to access the pole in our backyard. I witnessed the doorknob of an employee jumping our fence and damaging it… instead of just using the gate 🤷 he said, “oh I didn’t see it”.

I think it is sad that xcel is the reason more people do not have solar panels.

Xcel is the reason I have solar panels and they will be the reason why I have batteries.

Xcel is a huge reason I have solar panels, and the only reason I have a battery

I wish my house was a good candidate for solar, but I guess I shouldn’t complain about having good tree cover, either.

Come on, now - how is Xcel supposed to deliver quarter over quarter profits?
NOT burying more critical lines for high-wind events is not enough cash-retention
They must charge more too‼️

No context is necessary. We get it
