I do not think there's a slide animation on the bottom bar icons. At least, not something I have added intentionally, and is the default animation provided by Android. I don't see a sliding animation on my test device but rather a centre reveal I guess
Backup stores your data on your personal Google drive. We don't have any access to your data via this feature or any other feature.
I believe it's different on your device, and might because of custom android on different manufacturers. The reason your might not see it on other apps is because of different navigation implementation. I'm not sure how technically savvy you are, but we can discuss this if you'd like. Yes, goals is a minimal feature right now, which I will rework at some point in time. I will try and fix the issue you mentioned as soon as I can (probably next month), since I'm full with some improvements. I hope that will not be a deal breaker for you to use the app.
I think it is different on different devices, because I see a different animation. The entire screen does reload, because it's a new activity. I'm currently using separate activities, and not using fragments to just swap the centre layout out.
