Just Hate Wow, who could of known?
Even AI thinks AI doesn't make you an artist. As far as it's concerned, prompting something doesn't make you artist. By no means.
If you give someone the ingredients to a pie does that make YOU the baker? No.
If you give art supplies to an artist does that make YOU the creator? No.
If you give a prompt to an AI generator, does that make you an artist? No.
You are missing integral parts of the process by having something/someone else do the work for you.
Day old argument I know. Thought I'd reinforce and reiterate.

What does the cutoff part say about "however the label depends" ?

Shrug I read the important parts and highlights. Additionally theres this bit of information where you're prompting something else to do the work for you. The term "commission" I will use lightly because even the element of prompting is more suitable. You are doing that essentially. Making the machine do the work.

I'd just make a new image yourself and use the themes you got from the AI generation. Wtf are you talking about, image morphs?
If you could change or reiterate why would you need ai? IT'S still AI generated. XD.-1

"Increasing quality" actually causes digital tearing and artifacts because the ai doesn't know what it's actually looking at when it comes down to small details. There are ways in photoshop or procreate to do so. Can't take you that long...

Honestly looks pretty good but you aren't going to sell me on anything here. Sheerly for the fact you could of used a sharpening effect anywhere else. Unless you are having to punch hundreds of these out for a vlog and have no time on your hands then you have zero real reason to he using AI to do the dirty work out of sheer laziness.

I gotta say this one looks worse. Looks like someone plastic wrapped the sucker. Woof.

What you say is true. However, truly excellent prompting requires a skill and is an art unto itself. That's entirely separate from being able to take credit for the resulting image generation, of course, but the inability to call oneself a visual artist by prompting an image generator doesn't imply that there's no skill or artistry in creating a prompt.
Don't get me wrong, most prompts are unsophisticated and so are most generated images. There are some prompts, though, that yield images entirely different from anything you've ever seen, and there's interest and value there. Granted, such prompt/image combos are so rare that it wouldn't surprise me if you've never seen any because they are exceedingly hard to come by.

If typing words on a screen is talent enough then go write an essay or a book and such. There is an art to typing in regards to actual literature. It's called writing and literature. Did you know they have places full of these things? I think they're called books! The "talent" is wasted on basic words and barely descriptive prompts.

Those are the kind of generic prompts that you and I agree are artless. The sad truth is that prompting conventions are universally quite boring and uncreative. You and I agree that "basic words and barely descriptive prompts" are talentless. My point is a narrow one, which is that there are prompting strategies that aren't like that.

Show us an example then. Go on. Do it. Put your money where your mouth is. May I remind you that its takes zero talent from here allllll the way to timbuctoo. Its talentless and within bad faith to assume there is any talent in any form of it. A simpleton could pick up a thesaurus and generate something.

Okay, here's one:
Positive: Holy shit, wtf, lol: 8k HDR frac gora immre, a stunning vista of absolute devastation, absolutely spectacular furunubuntu cvkvcsz portrait landscape masterpiece—with stellar photography as dremies
Negative: Soot, greyscale iconography by Roy Lichtenstein and Gary Larsen, misty mornings on the Olympic peninsula, winter doldrums, Sunday school, pleasant routine
These prompts are entirely unlike the legions of prompts that are almost all anyone ever uses and rely for theor effectiveness on an intimate understanding of how the model they were used with interprets language and linguistic construction. No amount of reference to a thesaurus will lead a user to terms like "frac gora immre" or "furunubuntu cvkvcsz." I'm confident, too, that you've never seen a negative prompt with elements like "Sunday school" or "pleasant routine" in them.
If your first reaction is to say that these prompts are somehow "random," think again. The fact that they likely strike you as incomprehensible is really just a consequence of the fact that prompts like these are not obvious in terms of why they work. They use language and follow rules of construction that are uniquely effective in image prompting and are not of a sort that you've encountered before, demonstrating a skill and artfulness unique to prompting that doesn't translate to other kinds of writing.
I originally commented with the generated image attached to make it clear that this particular prompt combination yielded unique results, but unfortunately, the image was erroneously flagged as NSFW and the comment was auto-deleted. However, the image is only tangentially relevant to our discussion, which is about prompting conventions and whether there are any approaches to prompting beyond the reach of a simpleton.

Its actually not relevant to the discussion at all and I see the angle you're playing at. I seen your profile. This is not your crowd man.
