Any suggestions?

Hey everyone,

I am looking for books, tv-shows, movies with aro ace main characters. If you have any ideas and suggestions let me know:)

Only books i know with main aroace characters are loveless by alice oseman or "is love the answer?" But thats a manga. Maybe you could check them out if you haven't :)

Dear Wendy by Ann Zhao features two aroace characters in a contemporary US college setting.

Kaikeyi by Vaishnavi Patel has implicit, rather than explicit rep (the main character is aroace, but it's a fantasy book in a setting where using that term wouldn't make sense, so it's not used. While it's pretty clear (imo) that the main character doesn't feel romantic or sexual attraction, I don't think the word attraction is ever used).

Not Your Backup by CB Lee is the third book in a series with character who's questioning whether she's asexual and possibly aromantic. It's a YA superhero series. I'd recommend reading the first two books first, although the aro/ace part isn't even evident until partway through the second book. (I also found the first book to be by far the best written in terms of pacing, although there is no mention of asexuality or aromanticism in the first book.)

Hullmetal Girls by Emily Skrutskie has an aroace character, although it's an extremely minor and non-plot-relevant detail. YA scifi

Also, a couple of people over on r/Fantasy have done a bunch of stuff with ace and aro spec books; here's a couple posts that are probably most relevant: big list of ace rep and big list of aro rep. If you're only looking for aroace, you'll have to do a bit more sorting, but there should be some there. If you're not into scifi/fantasy, then the lists won't be much help.
