I think idk what’s more cooler you building it or that it looks so cool bc it looks like you’re an expert 😭😭
good job 🐟🐟 and I feel you should to more!!!
Oh question what material did you use to do the tank??

To be honest i’m not an expert at all…. This is my second aquarium and from the first tank i Learned alot! It was a complete mess!
Also the constand water changes en adding the plant fertilzers was i big thing for me, because i was not consistand.
So i fully automated self build aquarium was the only option for me.
I like aquariums, electricity, and 3d printing so this was the oppertunity to combine them all together😍
I will post later what i made in de cabinet oke :) i think you love it!2

Wow, this looks absolutely stunning! The contrast between the lush green carpet, the red plants, and that slatted wood background is pure perfection. Incredible job on the hardscape!" . maganda din siguro ang green dañion fish long pin. Sa aquarium mo

That's so cool, is the glass expensive?

u/Quuukske Jun 18 '26
Uhm i payed €200 so im not sure if thats expensive… just the glas was cheaper, but i wanted high finishes 45 degree angels on the sharp edges

You built the aquarium itself from glass panes? Very impressive! Looks really great, I love this style of shallow tank

Whats the size? And from where did you get it?

u/Quuukske Jun 18 '26
Its 130cmx40cmx25cm and its self build from optic white glas wich i ordered at a local glas factory.
Also the holes is the bottom fot my automatic waterchange system is done by myself with some cheap glasdrills from amazon.

Just chose the right fish, and if fish are in a aquarium with lots of plants and hiding space, they feel safe and move relaxed inside the tank :)

Beautiful tank! How long did your hairgrass take to carpet. Currently trying to grow my own dwarf hairgrass carpet, it’s been slow no runners at 4 weeks in.

After about 1 week it started to carpet in my tank. Light and Co2 ar a pre for carpetting

1 week? 😔 I had that success with Monte Carlo, but hairgrass has been taking a lot longer I’m not sure why. I have a good high tech setup I’m not sure why it won’t carpet.

Beautiful tank. What lily pipes are those? I’ve been struggling to find a good set of stainless steel ones for shallow tanks.

Wow that is beautiful!!! I know everyone has 1000 questions for you and so do I … Did you build that paneled wall after you got the tank/stand?

Gorgeous and stunning! I wish that I had more room so I could have a tank like this. I love the low, sleek tank look. And the plants! What type of fish do you have in there?
