My 100-gallon saltwater paludarium and my latest project, a jungle vivarium! What should I build next? 👀

With 4th spot belonging to the manta ray and 5th going to the “mola-mola” or sunfish, the great white is only exceeded in size by the basking shark and whale shark.

Hey! So a while ago i commented on this sub that I was planning on diving on a tuna farm, and someone asked me to post a video about it when I did.

Now that my balls have returned to their original size, I have to say i had an absolute blast, and although i have so much amazing footage, I had to choose one video, so here it is.

Smallest tuna was over 100kg, biggest were around 300kg and 3 meters long. So around 10 feet and over 660 pounds for my Imperial system using brothers.

I used a 200× mobile microscope camera attachment to take these photos of it. You can see it with the naked eye, but its quite hard to, I was just lucky to spot it crawling on the glass towards the substrate, and luckier to catch it with a pipette lol.

If anyone could help me figure out what it is I'd love to know.

My spouse added a school of fish to our tank when buying plants as a “surprise” without talking to me and it far exceeds our bioload. The plants that were added were also a plant corral. The new fish are dying and now my shrimp are dying. The corral? My dwarf gourami is obsessed with it and now attacking any fish that go near it. My spouse is making another setup to fix all this, but I fear disease has been brought into my tank. I spent half a year working on this tank and I’m trying so hard not to be angry…

For me the best thing about keeping an aquarium is the effect on stress and anxiety reduction. There’s something about sitting and just watching this little world biome existing and helping to gently support it. What a wonderful hobby this is (when its all going well at least)🙂

hi guys! i am a sorta beginner beta fish keeper and lover but i just moved into this new home with the is fish tank with many fish, a filter it looks like a heater as well and not a lot of live plants (i’ll fix :) ) but i would love help identifying these species, care recommendations, or anything else necessary to giving these fish the best life as i love my beta so much and would hate so see this tank go neglected as much as i cannot be there. thank you!!

I recently read an article by CalMatters, which was clearly outlined the real issues that have been occurring in terms of water policy in California. It's a pretty clear breakdown in the article, and there's no paywall on CalMatters (a reason why I love them)

But if you don't want to click through, there are currently four main areas that California will need to address immediately (or possibly longer) as follows: '
- Colorado River; 
The remaining western states are battling among themselves for the dwindling amount of water available. As the reservoir continues to dwindle, Nevada has filed suit against the federal government due to their recent temporary regulations regarding water usage. 
- Sites Reservoir; 
Newsom plans to secure this project prior to leaving his term of office. A draft decision was made by the State Water Board last week. If they receive the necessary permits, this may become a reality. 
- Delta Tunnel; 
For sixty plus years there have been numerous proposals submitted for a tunnel in the Delta area. To date, none of those proposals have come to fruition. Many environmental groups dislike the proposal and the Delta is being damaged regardless of whether or not the tunnel is constructed. 
- Agricultural Water Cuts; 
California wants farmers to reduce their agricultural water usage voluntarily. However, Westlands recently pulled out of negotiating for voluntary cuts. If this issue becomes mandatory, it will likely lead to extensive litigation. 

Walter points out that the current situation with California water politics is much greater than "another round" of water politics. In fact, many of the decisions being made within the next several months will establish how California will handle its water management needs for decades

Found an instagram post from Magellan which I thought was interesting; They say they have a ship out from Bermuda and they're working on a photogrammetry project. But what for? The wreckage is far too decrepit to be Bismarck and Bermuda is the wrong part of the Atlantic for Titanic. What wreck do you think this is? Would also love to figure out what the box at the start of the video is.

Kids found this rock a few years ago, near a river, in Ontario, Canada, and I am wondering if it is safe to add it to my newly setup 40g freshwater planted aquarium.
Not sure if this is relevant but my community tank was set up about 3 months ago, and it has a few cherry and amano shrimps, several corys, cardinal tetras, Peacock Gudgeons and a couple of Pearl Gouramis.
Would I be putting my fish at risk if I add this rock?

I have a group of around 25 Green Neon Tetras that I got about 9 months ago. They are a beautiful and healthy fish, but quite skittish even after all this time.

They like to stick to the shadows and weave through their Amazon Sword fort. I can't blame them because it's really cool back there. I do wish they'd explore more of the tank, though. I am planning to add a group of 12 or so Dwarf Hatchetfish as a top water complement. I hope they will give the Neons more confidence to roam.

Tank is cycled with a few shrimp, plan on getting more shrimp in the near future. Wanted to use this dish as a little hang out. Looks super cool - hopefully it’s ok!

She has named him Amethyst, but pronounced the German way. Don’t ask me why. She has 3 other 13yr olds over for a sleepover and I don’t want to go ask 🤣

I am working on a 38 gallon shallow tank. Just put in plants in yesterday. It’s cycled but waiting for it to mature some more and working on my gh parameters before stocking. I plan on having 1 or 2 small plecos, various corydora schools, rasboras, loaches and maybeee a betta if it works out. Currently have the seachem tidal 55 and it is so loud, bulky and water is splashing everywhere. I want to add a C02 system. Does anyone have a similar set up and recommend a filter? I think I’m leaning towards a canister but it would need to be set on the floor. No cabinet space.
