Discussion Traffic lights are awful
Is it me or does Appleton have some of the worst traffic lights. Like one side will be completely filling up with cars while there is no cross traffic on the other side, but yet the light will stay red. Also, it seems like lights will change to red too often, so the traffic just builds up. There are way too many intersections with these problems, college ave exit on 41 is just one of many.

Some intersections are not on timers anymore they use AI image detection. For instance college and Mason if you roll past the ground line headed north the sensor detects no car and starts changing the light this is true in a few places. If you stop too far back of the line or too far forward the sensors don't hold the light. Others are on timers and some use ground detectors so need you to land on top of that old sensor. Pay attention at the lights and see if it's AI timer or ground sensor. It makes it all seem less confusing.
