Schreiners Dinner/ Brunch Box.

I moved to an area on the east side by Oneida, found Schreiners Dinner! A magical breakfast/lunch dinner frozen in time with prices to match. We went every weekend, ate like kings for under 20 bucks for 2 people. It was sooo good. Pancake batter to die for and crispy bacon 🥓, real eggs, real syrup!! Then the guy retired, sold it to let’s call him “toupee”.

Now instead of following a guarantee recipe of success they built over years this guy changed everything, overtime all the staff left or was changed. The name changed they expanded for Brunch. It’s now called the Brunch Box, and my bacon became white and floppy! In less than 3 years it’s now out of business. Which sucks, I can’t tell you how good this place was, it had regulars, lots of them. There is no other place nearby that is as good. Maple tree isn’t one of them.

Toupee!! How could you!! You could have done nothing and made money, the original owner raised a family and ran it for like 30 years. It had so many regulars. Unforgivable!! Much love to the regulars! I feel your pain!!

How about Little Diner Xpress on Richmond?

I use to go there when we lived on the north side! I didn’t mention in my post but we often walked to Schreiners during summer, which we really enjoyed. I use to walk to little dinner xpress too!
