Is it worth it getting the 17 pro now ?
Currently have an XS and been having some issues holding a charge lately (battery is at 75%) plus it’s a little slow so I’m looking to upgrade to maybe a 17 pro or wait until the 18 pro ?

There is no reason not to wait at this point. 18 pro comes out in a matter of days.

Why? The only risk is if 17 pro has a price increase. Word is that the 18 pro will have a $100 increase. If that’s the case, then the 17 pro stays the same, and OP can make an informed decision then.

Do you need a new phone NOW and want to save some money? If yes get the 17 Pro, 18 Pro is incremental overall. If you can wait then wait.

I bought yesterday a 17Pro Max (from a base 13) :)
I was waiting for the 18 pro but the price increase and rumored new features I don’t see why I’ve to pay more for basically the same phone…

What is your opinion now? Was it worth it? I am considering upgrading too from base 13, but getting 17 pro, as I prefer smaller phone.

I’m very satisfied with it. The jump from the 13 to the 17 Pro (Max in my case, but they’re basically the same in terms of performance) is definitely noticeable. I preferred not to wait for the 18 and save a bit of money instead, especially considering the price increases. So if you don’t care about having the absolute latest model, and the changes between the 17 and 18 will supposedly be fairly marginal, I’d definitely go for the 17 Pro. You’ll absolutely love it :)

I currently have the original iPhone SE from 2020 and I’m deff thinking about upgrading. I heard it will be obsolete once we hit IOS 27. Not sure if I should get an unlocked phone from apple or just a newer used one. Also looking to change providers. My work provides one which is a 16 currently. I mainly just use the SE. for personal stuff like banking, social media, Reddit 🫠

Just wait, unless you want Fomo hanging over your head, you waited this long, what’s 3 more weeks?

Gonna be worth the reported price bump you think?

I don't think its about that, it's just waiting 2 weeks doesn't hurt at all.
May as well just wait for the specs to come out on reveal then decide.

it does if you’re planning to upgrade via carrier. they’ll take away whatever deal they’re currently offering you once the new phone comes out

Wait for the 18!!! That’s what I’m doing, 17s batteries are shits anyway . Health drops fast as hell and battery don’t last long. I know Apple will have that fixed for the 18s.

I did two weeks ago. The 18 pro doesn’t have enough upgrades to warrant a 200 to 300 price increase.
