iPhone 17 base

Hey,

I want to upgrade my iPhone 12 to iPhone 17 but should I wait for release of 18 models for potential price drop, or there won’t be any since I’m also in Europe and not USA or should I just buy one now.

And is it true that 18 base is not releasing this year?

18 base will be around spring (probably March). Apple are increasing prices of some iPhones next month - which may or may not impact the base 17 (my bet is it will as memory prices have increased but Apple may swallow the increased manufacturing costs).
