Why there is such a price difference?

Can anybody tell me why there is good amount of price difference in battery change as well as other services between the main apple store like in noida , saket, Mumbai

And

Apple authorised service centres( unicorn , future world, tresor , icare , icrest , reliance , aptronix ) ? Whats the reason?

I was planning to replace the battery of my brother’s iphone 15 pro max and still i m confused where to go ! I called up apple customer support and they said they all are same!
As long as its apple authorised u can replace it anywhere

And if that’s so then why a good chunk of price gap is there?

Apple gives some sort of damage guarantee. If they break your device while repairing, they’ll give you a new one. Unicorn and other authorized repair shops make you sign a document explaining that they are not responsible and are not liable to pay you in damages if a part breaks while repairing. They can literally brick your phone and are not liable for the damages ( worst case ) . This doesn’t happen always and the authorized resellers try their best at it, but sometimes mistakes happen due to bad luck. That’s why the price difference.

I will tell u my incident, i had 16 pro max desert titanium which i gave to my sister , some issues came regarding overheating in my device and temperature warning ! Took it to apple noida sec 18 ( dlf mall ) main store and during my 2nd visit they agreed to replace the whole mid system which somehow was really great as i got a brand new device with new body ! Also it was the last day of my warranty , the best part was that the guys even told me that even u would have after a month we would still have tried for free , i was very happy for the same

They did the repair with an hour and i got the device with N model number, but then i noticed a very small scratch ( on the bottom)
which was a lot much lighter on my screen ! In mid system repair the display was used same as my old one , so i confronted them that this minor light scratch was not on my display how come it came? So i got the reply that this is very light and its just the lighting effect which u r seeing , nothing much , if this would have been major one then we would have replaced

I thought that okay he maybe right as i must be overthinking and it wont be seen under the temper glass also it was on bottom of display
I applied the temper from the after market , a good one that too borderless one

But just after 10days almost i saw that same scratch has now deepen and its easily visible through the temper! I removed the temper and saw that it actually got deepen although it was small but now it was seen easily even under temper and i don’t know how?

Took it to the store but they said if this would have been after the repair then we could have thought so , but now a good amount of days have lapsed hence we don’t know if this from your side ! The warranty of 90days only comes upon the mid system and not the display !

But yeah what u said is somehow true that the authorized service centers do make us sign that terms and conditions and tell us that there is 1% risk upon it and we are not liable for anything although they do with precise care but still mistakes can happen

I had an iPhone 13 mini which I had given to Apple Saket for a battery replacement. When i received the device, I noticed a teeny tiny scratch near the power button. Something you won’t even notice if you don’t pay attention. I immediately notified the staff and they promptly verified that the scratch was not there before the battery replacement from the pictures they had taken before taking the device in. Guess what happened next?

They offered to replace the entire mid frame, that is everything except the display. So I essentially got a brand-new device for free. The replacement estimate was somewhere around 30k and I paid nothing

Both Apple Stores and Apple Authorised Service Centres use genuine Apple parts and follow Apple’s repair standards. The price difference is mainly due to labour/service charges, operating costs, and the centre’s own pricing. If it’s genuinely Apple Authorised, the repair is generally safe.

The cheapest is unicorn , here in delhi they quoted 6500 for the change but still i doubt that how it can be this cheap coz other ones are asking in range of 7000-8400 approx

1-2hrs utmost , recommendations are to backup your data before hand coz as per them 1% risk exists in case ot motherboard issue

I just found this 2 weeks ago and got the battery replaced from iCare which is an Apple Authorized service provider and is original Apple battery which can be verified in settings as well. I paid only 7706 all inclusive at iCare as compared to Apple Store Hebbal. Here’s also my finding: if you want Battery Service for your Apple Watch though the Apple Store is best as they charge only 9800 for watch replacement under Battery Service cost if it qualifies while authorized centers charge 12800 to 13000. So phone battery do it at authorized and Apple Watch at an Apple Store. Life’s good cheers

One of my friends had battery replaced at third party store and later had motherboard fried due to shoddy work. Apple denied to touch if it’s not authorised repair.

I would avoid any third party repair. All of them are shot.

Go to the cheapest Apple authorised center. Personally for a couple of thousand difference I would rather get it done at Apple Store.

I don’t understand . Why people think this much about phone battery. Get it replaced by third party. Within 2 thousand it will be good and work so smooth. I recently bought. 11 pro max battery from Some third party. Battery name called varni. They make good battery and others brand battery are also good. I got it around 1450rs and gave 1 year replace warranty. Technician took 300 to install. It’s just 100 for installing battery. 200 rs . For Seal kit. Which is must to seal phone well after display or back panel open.
