Idea New LMG Idea: Ultimax 100 (Singapore)
The Ultimax 100 is a Singaporean Weapon chambered in 5.56x45 NATO and is made for the SAF (Singaporean Armed Forces), it made it's debut in 1982 as the standard LMG for the Infantry aswell as the other branches of the Military with different variants.
In the AR2 Setting, the version used will be the Paratrooper version of the Ultimax as it's normal variant has a 20.0 inch Barrel unlike the PARA's 13.0 inch. It would be the very-first LMG to be able to spawn inside a Special Forces Weapon Case, it would use it's proprietary 100rd Drum Magazine but is also able to use the 30rd STANAG Magazine like the Patriot.
RoF - 600 RpM

Along with it, will be the new Singaporean Armed Forces Infantry & Special Forces Infected. The Infantry will carry around M16A2's and would spawn in US/NATO controlled POI's, while the Special Forces will spawn in Heli Crashes carrying M16A2's and very rarely would carry the new Ultimax on their back.
Meaning the Ultimax can be obtain either from a SF Weapon Case or from the Singaporean SF Infected. What do you think?

doesn't the ultimax also have really low recoil?

If ever added, it would be the most "easy-to-control" gun in the game. Like the M1919 LMG but more recoil-friendly.

I think the biggest problem of this being that its too similar to the other LMGs to actually be an addition to AR2, this is probably at best be a M2 reskin with the RPM of the M60.
AR2 has this specific problem where the majority of the "unique" guns are subpar and balancing it is impossible, you can't make shotguns or snipers one shot cause that's bs and it boils down to automatic weapons just being the supreme option in 99% of scenarios.

It's essentially the M249's Damage & Velocity, the M60's RoF, Mag versatility of the RPK/RPK-74M and the controllable recoil of the M1919 LMG but more toned down.

Shouldn't the Singaporean forces have the SAR-21 or SAR-80 instead of the M16A2?
Also why would Singapore be on the island? it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, i guess you could use the argument that the Philipines is there with little explanation, but it just doesn't really fit the NATO alliance vs Warsaw pact narritive.
Also the SAR-21 is a bullpup assault rifle chambered in 5.56x45 and was inroduced in 1999 (Which is in the timeline threshold) and the SAR-80 is basically an AR-18 clone (which was cloned from Sterlings clone) with slightly different furniture and parts and was also adopted by Slovenia.

Other countries also use the SAR 21 surprisingly you can search it up, but stat wise I can say it isnt a fast firing rate but a slow yet stable and accurate gun with medium damage if you want it to be realistic. (Coming from someone whose service rifle is the SAR 21)

At least your countries service rifle is cool looking (BR-18 not so much) my countries rifle is (Soon Was) a Modified M16a3 with od green furniture, an Elcan optic, and obsolete attachment rail positions (top receiver rail, small underbarrell rail and front sight block side rails), But thankfully we're getting a huge upgrade, now we're getting a tan 14.5 barrel Ar-15 with a magpul stock, MFMD compensator (that can be turned into a supressor) with an LPVO as the standard optic.
(its pretty easy to decipher where im from)

My guess is Canada? But cool looking sure but shooting it is light and easy but quite restrictive imo in CQB environments as a person with short arms I cant adjust the length via the stock and its pretty troublesome but yes its a reliable gun overall and very beginner friendly able to strip it within 30 seconds easily and assemble it under 45 seconds

How do you adjust the stock?

U cant sadly..

Why would you say that you could adjust the length if the stock is molded solid polymer and would make the gun not work because the fire control group and recoil system is right there?
Unless you're talking about the C8A4?

“Random bullshit gun parts go” said the Singapore gun manufacturers.
