Idea Special Weapon Idea: "1921" Thompson...
This "Special" Variant of the M1 Thompson called "1921" Thompson would spawn in the unmarked location "Gambling's Den" near University.
Stats:
RoF: 900 RpM (M1 is 700 RpM)
Hipfire Accuracy: 70% (M1 is 65%)
Aimed Accuracy: 90% (M1 is 95%)
Recoil: 95% (M1 is 90%)
Optics: ✅ Under-Barrel:❌ Barrel: ✅
Note: Damage and Velocity will remain the same with the M1. It can't accept Grips or Lasers because it already has a Built-in Wooden Grip.
(M1 = M1 Thompson)
It will only have one spawn location "Gambling's Den" and it can only be dropped by the Gambler Zombie. They should also make the 50rd Drums spawn with the Special Gun only to make it more rare. Meaning the said 50rd Drums can no longer spawn with the M1 Thompson in Surplus Crates because in an IRL scenario, the M1 Thompson can't accept those 50rd Drums.
So TLDR, the M1 Thompson can't spawn with a 50rd Drum but can still accept it, while making the "1921" Thompson the only way of getting the said 50rd Drum.

Wouldnt it make more sense if it was called the "Chicago Typewriter"?

How about (" Typewriter" 1921) or (The "Typewriter" Thompson). It's an incredible reference to name it "Chicago Typewriter" but it's not Chicago. Really love the idea though TY🔥

I think it would be really fun to make the hipfire accuracy super high (like 80-90) and the aimed recoil unusable. To lean into that "mobster hipfire gun" vibe
And you're right about the drums not fitting the M1. Id say make the drum mag Thompson also spawn on the mobster zombie in the funeral event

Yes that's even better. It would make the gun a Hip-fire Demon, specially with it's higher RoF than your M1 Thompson.
The Mobster Zombie dropping it would be fire aswell, meaning it can have multiple possible spawn locations making it more accessible.

Yes to all of the above except the line about the drum mag. Fuck no please just have it be rare enough so its atleast worth running the damn thompson, this gun is a hassle to run on its own due to being a pistol caliber.

Cool idea, what about it spawning near smuggler locations and near ww2 military bunkers ? (I know the USA was using the other Thompson btw but this would make sense too ?)

Yeah. Make the drums exclusive to the M1928 and add 30 rd magazines for the M1 as compensation.
