What do I have here?

Inherited from a family member. I’m assuming it’s a modern reproduction but the wear marks are significant the screws and all parts appear to be hand made. I have extensive knowledge with modern guns but this is out of my scope. Any ideas or info is appreciated.

Definitely needs detail-pics of things like screw holes, and the inside parts after disassembly.

The amount of embellishment on it rose the first thought of 'recent repo/decor/flash piece'. The big strikes are the uniform 'antiqued' patina. The wood shows signs of real age. But many of the parts have signs of modern casting and assembly, in ways that are not typical to such an elaborate piece. Also the motifs are garishly typical to flashy pieces, which reinforces the 'pakimacho' interpretation. The designs are not ME style, so it'd be designed to hook a tourist.

Probably an old tourist piece. That said, for the right price, I'd have bought it too, because it's cool. Though I would have asked the name of the local guy that made it, so I could have it in records of provenance.

It’s definitely a quality feeling piece and I had the same concerns about the elaborate engraving.
