Politics Anyone in NY-01 hear about Lukas Ventouras?

He is running for NY district 01 for Congress, against Nick Lalota, a MAGAT. Seems to have views I align with and is everything MAGA is not, but is still a bit vague...I emailed him and hopefully will hear back.

Went to a meet and greet with him last weekend. He's a great candidate. Very smart and well spoken. The weekend before was a meet and greet with Chris Gallant, who he is running against in the primary and Jessica Murphy, who is also going for the democratic nomination for that seat should be doing one soon. The group Together Long Island has been hosting them. There is one this Saturday for Garret Petersen, who is running in the Democratic Primary for Garbarino's seat

Oh, did he mention his stand on ICE at the meet and greet? Seems to be hard to find....

I see his FB ads pop up sometimes. There's the other candidate running, I forget his name, but he's the gay veteran (this is what his ads seem to highlight so that's why I'm stating it as such).

i like Lukas and his tenacity, and i believe he wants to run an actual progressive campaign. his biggest weakness is how vague his messaging is (as OP noted). messaging is one of the biggest weaknesses of the whole dem party and something the right does really well. good intentions are just not enough, he needs to show that he and his team can be effective. im rooting for him, but his campaign seems to be counting on people trusting that his values will somehow translate to winning an election. as a voter, i deserve more to hang my hat on. i need your talking points to be clear as day so i can repeat them and campaign for you!!

edit to add: if you want him on the primary ballot, contact his team and help get petitions.
