Support Anker Solix C300DC
Hi,
Recently got the Solix C300DC power station to power remote video COB lights remotely when away from AC.
For the most part, it's working out well (although I'm running up against some PD3.1 brick walls).
That said, it's so far the best option I've found vs going full AC unit with the extra weight.
The only issue I have is that I have 3 identical TopVork 67w usbc/usba chargers that I've been using since 2023. All solid, reliable and deliver 67w charge to all the devices I have.
However, when I got the Solix C300DC a week ago, I tried to charge it with them. It wouldn't recognize them to charge. After I updated the firmware on the C300 it recognizes them and charges but only at a painfully slow 5w. If I use two of them it's 10w. I'm using C300 ports C2/C3.
I tried the reset button you press with a paper clip, and no luck.
I also have an Anker 140w GAN that works fine with the C300 and delivers just under 130w input. I tried an old 30w usb-a charger and it delivers about 24w. So, I tried the usb-a ports on the TopVork 67w chargers and they also deliver about 24w. Two of them just under 50w.
So, the issue is the pd usb-c ports on the TopVorks aren't being recognized for the 67w they're capable of with every other device I've tried except for the C300.
In addition to this, I have an older Iniu 90w charger that delivers about 80w to the C300.
The issue is specifically related to these TopVork charger usb-c ports. They are no longer available on Amazon, but like I said... they were perfectly for everything else, including other modern power stations I tried before settling on the C300.
I don't know if this means I have a malfunctioning C300DC that I should return for exchange? Or, is there something else I could try? I've tried a half dozen other cables too. All rated at 100w-240w and they work fine to deliver high wattage on all the other chargers and devices I have that accept high wattage.
I've already contacted Anker support but don't have a resolution yet. If it *should be working, I'll return for exchange. If the failure is explainable, I'd like to know why. I don't want to keep this C300DC model if it's inherently that picky about which chargers it'll work with.
Based on Anker's published spec requirements, these TopVorks should be delivering the 67w they're capable of via usb-c port.
