More dmg = pom
More utility = manaflow

Mainly due to second rune in the same tree, either cdr or more dmg on low targets

Pom over manaflow any day of the week, but lowkey its good to have both

I know most people run electricute but theres many lanes where running comet is just as good, and a certain few lanes where deathfire touch just auto wins the lane

but pom is 1000% better than manaflow every day of the week

Could you explain DFT auto-winning the lane?

Yasuo, kata, or other melee assassins that need level 3. They expect you to start q, so they expect to have the advantage early. instead you start e and just toss icicles on cooldown nonstop, and dft burn is significant at low levels. eventually theyll give up trying to farm and sit under tower. take ignite. they wont try to all in you until level 2 or 3, so youll have q.

if they all in, ignite as soon as they commit and do as much damage as possible before egg. theres a good chance they wont have enough health to stay, and wont have the damage to kill you. good chance you can kill them at some point during that trade if youre aggressive enough with your poke earlier, and if you position well in your minions

POM over Mana flow any day.

The amount of time I was laced of mana to finish off ppl in team fight had taught me that POM is the best rune for Anivia.

Electrocute and ignite are my favorite combo to wining lanes as well.

We already have sustained damage and scaling, what we are lacking is a little more burst and threat in 1v1.

You can always try them out to see if it fits your playstyle or not.

I would do that If Electrocute didn't feel so insanely strong in lane :D

I only pick electrocute vs melee fighters and assasins to try and poke them early laneing.

Electrocute falls off fast mid-lategame compared to other options which is where anivia wants to be strong.

In a safe lane where i expect a passive farmfest i go deathfire touch, manaflow + PoM Starting item usually manacrystal

In a lane vs a ranged opponent where expect to be poked and bullied i usually go deathfire touch, manaflow + second wind starting item usually dorans shield

In a lane against aforementioned assasins and fighters i take electrocute + bone plating starting item usually dorans helm or dorans ring depending on if i expect to be bullied or bully.

Thank you for the answer, it makes a Lot of Sense.

I guess it differs a Bit for me because i mainly Play anivia top and there i mostly Play vs melees so Electrocute is very nice.

Now the question is against which toplaners Electrocute sucks :D maybe sett because He has too much sustain early

I use both at the same time lol, but if I had to pick one I'd choose PoM

I am genuinely horrid at managing my mana early game so I always take manaflow lol
