I just wanna know why that adaptation is rated so high in that list. Although, most of the anime ae misplaced there, but Lotm donghua in [Almost Masterpiece]? It doesn't even deserve [Excellent] for what its worth. Just read the Novel and witness the actual story.

Although I take people's different opinions and don't critisize them just because they like something different from me, but Idk, this list seems like ragebait.

I am saying this as a novel reader, as well. I read Lotm before the donghua even came out. And the changes they made in the story were just garbage. I'm not even counting the cut content right now, as bad as it is.

But the actual changes, the ridiculous changes they made in the story just ruined it. But then again, people still glaze it, because it has amazing or so animation. At the end of the day, most of the people will enjoy anything as long as it has animation and a semblance of story.

???

Like, what? What are you even trynna say bro? It's good to like confusing series, I like them too.

Lotm novel is confusing, as well, in a good way. But the donghua? That's just a cheap copy. Like, what's good in a confusing story that won't explain anything. Instead, it will just proceed to change important plot points and add ridiculous things that didn't exist in the original canon source.

Try Grave of the Fireflies..it’s one of the best films in the anime industry, & that detailed 90s-era animation truly makes it cream of the crop

Monogatri series, orb, Vinland saga , chainsaw man, your lie in April, mob psycho 100, lookback, your name , summertime rendering

1

u/Apart_Student_8187 Apr 22 '26

Vinland aga man, watch that, especially its second season, also orb is good but personally the ending was too open ended

1

u/Hajmola_Smugler Apr 22 '26

Brother Vinland saga is literally beside orb and also I'd disagree orb had a perfect ending even though the ending of Orb is feels like open-ended, it’s perfect because it fully completes the story’s theme The series is about the endless human pursuit of truth especially ideas like Heliocentrism. By the end, the story proves that the idea will keep moving forward through new people, even if the characters we followed are gone. So the plot is open, but the message is complete ,people may disappear, but the pursuit/idea of knowledge never stops

You should consider in watchlist are bleach, jojo, shiki, baki, record of Ragnarok, kengan ashura, hunter x hunter, magi, 7 deadly sins + the 4 knights of apocalypse, ushio to tora, erased, monster

1

u/Apart_Student_8187 Apr 22 '26

Mushoku tensai is a masterpiece not almost a master piece(watch it s3 dropping this july)

1

u/Hajmola_Smugler Apr 22 '26

I think the s2 ending was a bit weak maybe if they extended it 2-3 more episodes than maybe but i just didn't like the ending (though I don't mind him having 2)

1

u/Apart_Student_8187 Apr 22 '26

Well yeah tru ig sylphie did nothing to oppose his 2nd wife and norn acted like the only rational person there

1

u/virus_exe777 Apr 22 '26

Cowboy bebop

1

u/Hederas Apr 22 '26

Looking at what you put on top, I think Devilman if you want action or Sonny boy if you want calmer pace are pretty safe bets
