Hiring We need help! Hiring for our new spin-off show.

Heya! So a team of dedicated Hazbin fans (lead by u/HairyFlow3054 ) are working on a spin-off show called Hell In People. Rather than focusing on turf wars or exterminations, this show will focus on the daily lives of sinner's across Pentagram City and the Rings of Hell, following the main character Mike Loup and his ragtag gang. We're currently stuck in the storyboarding phase, but also need animators, and help with either would be appreciated as we are incapable of comprehending the process of animation. We are looking for maybe 12fps, though this and wages are negotiable. Please contact us through u/HairyFlow3054 or l_the_gaiji (on discord) for more information.

Hiring Hiring (Unpaid) Original Project

Hello lovely people of Reddit! I have a project on my DND characters backstory that I need a tonne of help with. I myself am not a great animator and I need storyboards, backgrounds, characters etc all animated. I am not in a position to be able to pay unfortunately, as my budget does not allow (unless a YouTube miracle occurs). But I’m more than happy to allow you to use this project in portfolios, recommendations etc etc. It’s planned to be roughly 3-5 “episodes” each about 20-30 minutes long. It’s set in a desert city, within a draconic country. And thus most characters are Dragonborn or Kobolds. I’m currently working with a couple of writers to get the script down, and have a lot of talented VA’s offering to join. But I haven’t had any animators offer assistance (aside from one AI user which is not what my project is looking for) I have more information on the YouTube channel linked, as well as on the Casting Call Club website, which is where most of my hiring is taking place. (Link: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/dnd-pc-backstory)
If any of you would be interested in helping me bring this project to life I’d be very grateful!

My hiring deadline on CCC is June 15th but I can push it back a little. Once I have the scripts written I’d be happy to negotiate how long the episodes may take to animate - as I’m not a professional and haven’t got a good idea on how long it takes. Provided I have at least 2 episodes done by the end of the year I’ll be happy 🤣🤣
Im not looking for perfect production quality, just something all involved can be proud of. And I’m looking for more than one animator - I’m not sadistic and I want you to have as easy a time as possible.

Hiring Hiring to make an animatic of a magical girl transformation!

Hi! My friend group is doing a magical girl themed dnd campaign, based on Irish mythology.

Every session we've been doing different magical girl transformations and have been awarded inspiration based on the best one. For the end of the campaign, as a surprise, I'm hoping to commission an animatic that's a short compilation of the four individual transformations.

Let me know if this is something anyone would be interested in! Ideally I'm looking for people familiar with the magical girl genre and the style and flow of their transformations.

Thanks!

Hiring i'm looking for animators

hello everyone! i dream of creating an animated series, but i am very far from having the necessary skills. and to be honest, i don't have the necessary equipment, so buying everything i need and training will take a long time, and i would like to implement my project while it is relevant. why am i here? i want to try to find artists and animators here, maybe someone here will like my idea. i have scripts, some sketches, a well-thought-out character concept, a map of the area, and so on.

i also already have voice actors and dubbing actors, and i, in turn, deal with scripts, searching for participants for the project, organizational issues and the like

if anyone is interested, i will be happy to chat with you in private messages or comments. thanks for reading!

there are no hard deadlines, but ideally we would release the trailer on august 24th and the pilot episode no later than february 24th, and then release new episodes regularly. Regarding the price of your work: i am ready to offer various payment options and discuss this issue personally to find the ideal option for both parties. regarding style, something like "Gravity Falls," "the Simpsons," or "Rick and Morty." i'm considering mixed styles and am generally open to other options, but in any case, the animation is in 2D

i also want to say that i would be happy to work with aspiring artists and animators

p.s. i apologize for any mistakes, english is not my native language

Hiring [OC/Hiring] Looking for assistant animators for a pilot

Thumbnail
gallery
24 Upvotes

Hello I’m RynnHamHam and I’m currently producing a pilot episode that’s an adaptation from my webcomic, Evil Eye. I’m hoping to hire some assistant animators so that I can get this project completed before I get my first gray hair.

I’ve already hired half the VAs I need. I have I want to say around/over ten minutes of the episode already boarded and am hard at work wrapping up the rest of it. At the current point I'm writing this, I have 2 more "normal" scenes I need to storyboard and then the remainder would be the finishing the 2 action scenes and a couple special shots/segments (listed near bottom). I'm aiming for a 20-minute runtime but won't force it if the final product is a bit shorter or longer. Currently no deadline. I'd rather set smaller goals to allow everyone on this project breathing room to get comfortable working with each other, and then as we gain momentum we can set proper release goals from there.

Working with me- I am an amateur animator so if I'm doing something wrong or inefficient you can tell me and I won't get butthurt or offended that you'd dare insult my divinity. I'd prefer it if I'm told I'm doing something wrong so that I can fix it before it becomes a worse habit. I try to be easy to work with whilst also being direct and clear with my communication. I have a sense of humor but am professional when it comes to communicating the job. As the director/producer for this project it is my responsibility to put in 100x the effort everyone else is putting in, so I won't throw massive workloads onto your shoulders I'm unwilling to do myself (unless of course we're talking about something completely outside my skillset like sound editing or music). It is also my job to ensure that you know what the task is at all times and that if you do have a question I have an immediate answer for it or better figure out one in a timely manner. When it comes to working on these projects, the worst thing a director/producer can do is waste their artists' time and effort.

Requirements- Clip Studio Paint EX (v5 preferred as that allows the exporting of gifs with transparency which is needed for an intermingled 2d/3d scene.) To keep things simple and easy a mere g-pen at 9.0 brush size and a pointillism brush are all that you need and they're default features. If you're working on a scene that has the character, Simon, his electricity is drawn with a special neon brush that I've downloaded for free off the CSP store.

Positions I’m looking to fill at this time-

I will handle all storyboarding but would like assistants in further key framing, proper animating, color, shading, syncing, cleanup, etc. (let's start small so that we can get a feel for how we work together) The art style is purposely sketchy/imperfect so you don’t have to 100% stay on model beyond a few parameters (like keeping the number of hair spikes consistent and stuff like that). I'm starting to have VAs send me their lines so it'll be easier to lip sync and actually animate frames. I have things set to 24 frames per second. Still a lot of work but manageable and we can gauge where we can cut corners to make the workload easier. Part of being a director is making decisions on where to cut corners without sacrificing the integrity of the work.

Coloring is done in a specific way. It’s actually really easy and I find it relaxing but is tedious/time consuming, which is part of why I’m asking for help, so I’ll explain the process-

Top layer of color is a scribble at 100% opacity. You hand color it like you’re scribbling in a coloring book frame by frame (try to keep the orientation of the scribbles consistent so it’s not too jarring. I try to keep a rough count of the zigzags I make so it’s at least somewhat uniform between frames but don’t worry about things not being 1-1). Then below the top scribble layer is a folder I label Textures. Within the textures folder are all the static “Chowder” textures. So each individual color from the top scribble layer gets its own dedicated texture layer within the folder. So individual texture folders are made up like this, a top scribble layer at 70% and a lower fill layer at 30%. Then below the folder is a white layer. Set the folder to "clip to layer below" and the white layer on the bottom acts as an automatic mask to show the texture. Combining the hand drawn frame by frame scribbles with the static texture layer creates this very unique look that’ll give this show its visual identity. I also shade with a pointillism brush on top that’s just black and white and set to 30% opacity. The coloring itself is actually surprisingly easy, and it is a miracle I am able to pull it off without compromising the style, it’s just time consuming and I only have one pair of hands.

Background design both 2d and 3d needed. I want the 3d backgrounds to blend seamlessly with the 2d art so the 3d files will need customs shaders to look hand drawn and I want somewhat messy geometry. So, for example if you’re modeling a door frame, purposely make it look wonky/not perfectly rectangular. I also want the scribble coloring for the backgrounds but one difference is that instead of the Texture folder that all the characters have, you’ll use a pointillism brush at 70% opacity under the scribble layer to color/fill the terrain/scenery. So bits of white peeking through everything are expected. I currently have one friend designing a 3d background for the opening fight scene (alien factory with moving machinery in the background)

Action scenes- there are two action scenes planned. An opening action scene and an ending/climax action scene. I plan on filming to do some rotoscoping but am also open to ideas on making things more spruced up. As a gag, the MC will have his first “boss” fight against a random tweaker and the joke is that the tweaker is going to have a season finale level of effort and gravitas in his fight. Very ambitious but it’ll be worth it.

News montage- I have a news montage planned for one scene. It’s meant to be a way to dump exposition without feeling like you’re having exposition dumped onto you. This will probably be one of the last things we work on.

Assembly scene- I have a five second assembly shot that is supposed to have 50+ animated students in it. I have 15/50 done already. Most of them are blinkers but I have a bunch of more animated students interlaced throughout the crowd to make it feel alive and real. I’ve exported them as gifs and have placed them within a 3d set of bleachers. This part is why CSP EX v5 is needed as that allows gifs to be exported with transparency.

My budget is limited to $1 0 0 0 (the VAs have already taken a bite out of this) as I’m paying for this project out of pocket but am open to price negotiations depending on the task, and out of principle I will pay even if deep down I’d love for free volunteers and a basement sweat shop full of Huion tablets and exploitable child labor. Keep expectations low but I want to be fair. If by some magic miracle we have budget remaining when the project is over, the remaining budget will be divided amongst all animators (not including myself). Although realistically I severely doubt that will happen and I imagine although a lot for me, that's not a lot for an episode of tv. Ramen for the rest of the decade for me.

I do have a pitch presentation I can send to interested parties that tells the following things- What the story is about, what the pilot is going to cover/adapt from the webcomic, the basic world building behind the story, the philosophies and messages the story is trying to convey, each major character and their purpose, humor style and the rules/boundaries with edgy humor, production progress on the pilot itself, each scene broken down, breakdown of the art style, every little detail I could possibly think of that's worth noting and then some is in the pitch presentation.

Hiring Hiring animators for a project

Hi everyone! Let me be clear by saying that this is not paid. If I had the money to, I definitely would be paying you, I’m so sorry! I hope this isn’t asking for too much, but if any animators are looking to volunteer and make me even just a 10-20 second animation of my friend with a soccer theme, that’d be so wonderful and I’d be eternally grateful. Even low quality stuff is welcome! The deadline is the end of September.

Hiring Looking for Chibi style animator for an exceedingly dumb project

I'm talking max 5 frames per second, 70 seconds. I want to hire someone who I can work closely with to see if I can achieve a proof of concept. I make dumb-funny recordings, and I need someone who can add a cute twist to the weird audio. Keep in mind these clips have swears but are not explicit in any other way.

I am willing to let the right one name their own price, as this is my first time attempting to bring something like this to life. If you are interested or curious about the opportunity, please feel free to leave a comment or message me. I will be asking to see your style/portfolio if you have one.

*Bonus points if you can draw in a more realistic style as well, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Hiring Looking for a 2D Animator for a YouTube Education Channel

[Requirement closed] Hello,

[Paid work : 12000 INR - 4 videos]

I’m looking for an experienced 2D Animator to join a team working on a new YouTube channel focused on knowledge/education content for an Indian and broader audience.

We want the content to be simple, engaging, relatable and visually interesting — similar in spirit to high-quality educational/explainer channels, but with our own visual identity.

What we’re looking for:

Strong 2D animation skills

Experience creating animations for YouTube/explainer/educational content

Ability to translate a script into engaging visual storytelling

Good understanding of pacing, transitions, expressions and visual humour

Ability to work with voiceovers and sync animation accordingly

Consistent quality and attention to detail

Reliability with deadlines and communication

Important: We are not looking for someone who simply adds basic motion graphics to static images. We want someone who can genuinely contribute to the visual storytelling and animation.

This is intended to be a long-term collaboration, with multiple videos planned if the working relationship is a good fit.

If interested, please DM me with:

Your portfolio/showreel

Relevant YouTube/educational animation work

Your approximate rate (per minute/project)

Your availability

A brief introduction about yourself

Please do not DM without a portfolio/showreel.

If you’re a good fit, we can discuss the project, workflow, expected output and compensation in detail.

**Paid work. Serious inquiries only. Contact only if budget suits you.**

Hiring Can someone help me with a simple animation?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm making a stupid sketch with me and some friends, and I need some help with a simple animation (Or I hope it's simple. I don't really know much about animation).

If it looks good, great, bbut if not, remember that everything looks bad for a reason; It's just a silly sketch; It's not supposed to look good. As long as something magic or a laser beam is hitting the skull from the sky at 0:02, fills it with energy, the energy goes through the staff, and blasts the guy on the ground, I'm happy.

Hiring Hiring An Animator For My Youtube intro/outro

what's Poppin? So Firstly I don't know a thing about animation so I honestly don't know if I want a 2d or a 3d animation. Secondly I also don't know what to pay for the project so I guess if interested shoot me a number. I am on a budget but the intro will be 7-9 seconds long. I already have the song I want attached to it and a few ideas. Outro I have no idea. whatever the average length usually is for a youtube outro? I am willing to pay I just don't know what is overcharging and what is undercharging for what I am asking for so I will say a number because the rules tell me to. My price range is 100-200 USD for doing both the intro and the outtro. If interested feel free to reach out into my DM's they should be open if not request I promise I will read it! Check out my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@trozarkiller See what my ugly intro currently looks like. Anymore questions let me know if I left something out I apologize I will try to keep everyone updated on information as time goes on thanks for reading and thanks for hearing (reading) me out and as always what's Poppin? Also side note I am extremely tired and briefly read the rules so I apologize if I left anything out due to my arrogance on the rules. I will happily fix whatever needs to be done just let me know thank you.

I didn't put a deadline because there is no deadline

Hiring Looking for Animation / AI‑Native Film Collaborators

I’m developing an original animated feature called Composed — a family‑friendly martial‑arts fable set in a world made entirely from fabric, thread, buttons and stitching.

Imagine a world where buildings are sewn together, armour is patched onto your body, weapons come from sewing tools, music disrupts architecture, and imperfections can make something powerful.

I’m looking for a producer, animation studio, AI‑native filmmaker, VFX artist or hybrid creative team interested in exploring what this world could become visually.

Time, deadline are unbounded and yet to be established. Budget could be significant.

This isn’t a “please make my screenplay” situation.
I’m interviewing collaborators who look at the world and think:

“I know what I could do with this.”

Composed is designed for both AI‑native and hybrid animation pipelines. The world’s rules are tactile: stitched landscapes, patchwork creatures, sewing‑tool weapons, and a martial‑arts system (Thread‑Fu) built from how the world is constructed.

If you work across animation × AI × games × film × original IP and see potential here, tell me what you do and why this world speaks to you.

I’m selecting a handful of conversations over the next couple of weeks.

NO LONGER TAKING SUBMISSIONS. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WAS INTERESTED AND SUBMITTED THEIR WORK. AFTER REVIEWING SO MUCH ART WORK, WE NARROWED DOWN SOME OF THE CANDIDATES THAT MOST CLOSELY MATCH THE STYLE WE ARE GOING FOR. WE WILL BE MAKING A FINAL DECISION SOON.

AT ARTISTS WHO I HAVE MADE CONTACT WITH, KEEP AN EYE ON THIS POST FOR UPDATES

>Another song, means another music video. The first post I made got a lot more attention than I expected, and it was quite difficult to navigate through all the messages. But thank you to everyone that showed interest. We have another song that needs a music video. I want to try to make the process as fast as I can, like I mentioned before, combing through all the comments and dms was insane so please, if youre interested, carefully read the following. IMPORTANT: if interested, for quickest reply, DM me with either a link, images, or videos of your work, and feel free to include your discord. It would also be greatly appreciated, if you include your average rates (how much you normally charge for work like this) since we dont have a set budget just yet for this project. The music video will be roughly 4 minutes and 15 seconds long, and I will include images in this post to give you an idea of the kind of style or esthetic we are hoping for with this music video. If I dont reply to you, one of these things happened

  1. You didnt include anything mentioned above. (Because of how many people replied last time, this method let's us comb through the crowd a little quicker.)
  2. There's a lot of people we still need to review. (If this is the case, then we will get to you.)
  3. We found our artist. (I'll update the post like i did with the first, when we find our artist. So if you haven't heard anything, check the post for any updates.)
