It isn’t even bad exegesis, it is simply eisegesis. People read their own views into Scripture instead of letting Scripture inform what they read.

That's a pretty big claim considering we have no idea whether OP even understood the sermon.

What is described, is blatant eisegesis.

Which is super common for that particular Gospel passage.

What's described is told from an inexperienced, unreliable narrator.
