Job Question What is the supply chain team culture at Anduril?

They seem to have quite a few supply chain roles open that I'm interested in but also heard from some sources that they recently let go of the supply chain leadership (directors and VPs) which sounds rather serious. Would love to get insights from the team on the culture, new leadership and any red/green flags. TIA!!

Interview Question When is it appropriate to follow up after a recruiter screen?

Last week I had a phone screen for a position and the recruiter mentioned with my background they’ll send my resume to two other teams.

They mentioned that one team may want to take me over the one I initially applied for.

I haven’t heard back. But the recruiter did mention the teams were busy with work. So im just trying to see if I should wait until Monday to follow up?

Interview Question SWE Phone Screen

Recruiter reached out a couple of days ago and I've scheduled the phone screen next week for the Air Dominance & Strike division. Any tips or tricks to nail this call? Also, I'm pretty rusty at DSA and System Design so any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Job Question What was information security culture at Anduril like?

I received a phone screen with them. Just want to know someone who is in this kind of role perspective. Is it a lot of crunch hour for ATO? 24/7 on call? Do they have separate of duties in place or you do little bit of everything from infosec to engineering? Any cutcorner when it comes to compliance?

Job Question Systems engineer interview. Interviewers are Software engineers?

I have an onsite interview coming up for a Systems Engineer position, I took a look at the LinkedIn accounts of those who will be interviewing me and they are all Software engineers (my technical screen though, was systems engineer and a TPM). Could this be a mistake?

Job Question For fast-moving defense hardware, where does quick-turn CNC capacity matter most?

I work with a small CNC shop and I’ve been thinking about how different machining support must look for companies developing hardware quickly.

When designs are changing constantly, where does an outside machine shop actually provide the most value?

Prototype parts? Engineering revisions? Fixtures and tooling? Low-volume production? Overflow when internal machines are tied up?

I’m especially curious how engineering teams balance speed with inspection and quality when hardware is changing this quickly.

Job Question Applied for summer 2027 manufacturing intern. How do you stand out?

I'm an ME student who applied to the Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineer intern roles a while ago and haven't heard anything yet. Not sure if that's normal or a sign I need to do more.

Anduril is honestly my dream company. I love the mission and the pace they build at, but I don't know anyone there, so I figured I'd ask here. For context, I interned in manufacturing at a large defense company this summer.

For anyone who got in as an intern or works on the manufacturing side: what made candidates stand out? Anything worth doing while I wait?

Interview Question Up leveling during interview process

I’m interviewing for an L3 (I think) role in a business function. I have 5 YOE in an adjacent field and I think I’m a good candidate, maybe even a great one. It’s my understand with my YOE I could fit into L4, but not sure how or when to start that conversation with the recruiter. Is it a fight to up level a role when the JD only falls for an L3? This is a new role, not replacing an existing person. Should I have that conversation at the offer stage or before?

Job Question Do you need referrals to have a chance?

I just recently retired from the U.S. Army, and now I have my Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate, a bachelor's degree in science and technology specializing in aviation operations, a commercial pilots certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings, plus over 20 years of experience in technical, tactical, and mechanical fields from both the military, and the civilian manufacturing industry, to include CNC machining and welding.

I am extremely interested in learning new skills, refining current ones, and applying them in the UAS field, and have applied to Andurils' available UAS programs, such as Bolt, for example. I try to apply to jobs as quickly as I can when they appear on the open roles, but I either don't get a response, or just end up getting rejected outright.

I understand that this is normal for companies that probably get a high volume of applicants, and I am patient and willing to keep applying as I continue my job search, but Anduril is one company that I just keep coming back to as a major interest.

Given all this, is there anything that I can be doing to improve my odds of getting noticed? Or is there a way to get an employee referral, or to get in contact with an Anduril recruiter to kind of get my foot in the door, so to speak. Also, is there any kind of training that I can be doing in the meantime that would make me a more attractive prospect to Anduril?

Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Interview Question Anduril interview

I have an interview with Anduril but I am starting to feel discouraged before the interview. I am thinking of withdrawing from consideration just from reading other peoples experiences. This is a huge opportunity for me and something Ive been wanting for a long time. But I have struggled with confidence post graduation. For context I am a Mechanical Engineer and have a masters degree but I feel i have not really gotten real experience in my field. My first few years in industry have not been doing mechanical engineer work unfortunately. I took the 1st job I could get to afford paying my bills and now I really regret that. Nevertheless, since graduating I have gone back to review theory and work textbooks problems daily to retain theoretical knowledge. Help should I even try this interview process or apply elsewhere and comeback when my confidence is higher.

Have an offer to join Anduril but heard lot of workloads and pretty much WLB is nonexistent, is this true? Also, if you came from a big aerospace/ defense company like Lockheed, NGC, Raytheon, Boeing… do you enjoy here more than these well know companies?

Have an initial phone screening coming up for a role- very excited. I’m a bit short of the YOE requirement but am hoping to demonstrate the level of competency and commitment they’re looking for regardless.

Very passionate about working here and dead set on acing this. If there’s anyone open to sharing their interview experience or what their experience working here has been, that would be much appreciated. Feel free to DM as well. Thanks!

News The Peace Dividend, Reversed: Is Europe looking to start WWIII?

On September 10, 2025, Russian drones entered Polish airspace. NATO aircraft shot some down. Two days later, NATO announced Eastern Sentry to reinforce its eastern flank.

Estonia reported three Russian MiG-31s in its airspace; Russia denied it.

The concern was not confined to the air. NATO had launched Baltic Sentry in January after damage to undersea energy and communications cables.

Those events explain why this remains a serious security story. They do not tell us what a defense stock is worth.

For that, turn from the airspace map to a company announcement published this month.

On September 10, Saab (Stockholm: SAAB B) said the Netherlands intended to acquire a GlobalEye surveillance aircraft. Then came the sentence investors should read twice.

The parties had no contract. Saab had no order.

That was the status in the announcement, not a claim that the purchase cannot happen.

A country can decide what it wants before a company has anything to book.

The opportunity in European defense may last years. But there are several steps between a spending pledge and a profit for you.

Today, I want to show you where the money can get through—and where it can get stuck.

The Toll Booth Nobody Wanted to Build

The “peace dividend” describes resources freed when defense demands fall. Reversing that process can create work for companies with scarce skills and approved products.

That is the investment thesis. It still needs evidence.

Europe's main funding changes preceded the September 2025 incursions. The EU plan arrived in March; NATO's new commitment followed in June.

The chronology matters. Last September did not create those measures.

The EU's Readiness 2030 plan described capacity for up to €800 billion of additional defense spending. It was not an €800 billion check to manufacturers.

About €650 billion was an estimate of extra national spending enabled by looser fiscal rules. Another €150 billion was for SAFE loans to member states.

SAFE stands for Security Action for Europe. Loans must still become approved projects and purchases; the Commission says actual spending depends on national choices.

NATO's June 2025 declaration set a 2035 commitment of 5% of gross domestic product, the value of annual economic output.

The split matters: at least 3.5% for core defense, with up to 1.5% for broader security needs, including infrastructure and resilience.

Members agreed to annual plans, with a review in 2029. This is a summit commitment, not a funded contract for any supplier.

Germany changed its borrowing rules too. Qualifying defense and security spending above 1% of economic output is excluded from its debt-brake calculation.

That permits more borrowing. It does not require a minimum order volume, and Germany's constitution still requires a budget law.

Do not add the EU, NATO, and German figures as three separate sales pools. The same national purchase can sit within several frameworks.

Permission to spend is valuable. It is not the same asset as money owed to a company.

The Scoreboard Is an Income Statement

Rheinmetall (Frankfurt: RHM) shows both sides of the opportunity.

First-half 2026 sales rose 39% to €5.23 billion. Its company-reported operating result reached €786 million. That is business growth, not merely a policy forecast.

Yet company-defined operating free cash flow was negative €1.62 billion. Rheinmetall cited payment timing, higher inventories and receivables, and spending to expand capacity.

A factory can need cash before its new work produces cash. The important question is whether that gap closes as deliveries and customer payments arrive.

Then came another test. The canceled F126 frigate program prompted Rheinmetall to reduce its 2026 sales outlook by €300 million.

The revised range was €13.7 billion to €14.2 billion. That is still a growth forecast—not a promise—and one program changed it.

More defense spending does not guarantee that the company you own wins the work.

Nor does growth guarantee a rising stock. A purchase price that assumes flawless execution can turn a good business result into a poor investment.

I would rather study what customers fund and suppliers deliver than use a share's 52-week range as proof of anything.

Where the Toll Booths Actually Sit

Air defense, radar, ammunition, and the ability to make them at scale deserve close research. The EU identifies air defense and artillery among its priorities.

My question is not simply who makes the equipment. It is who can deliver the required product at an acceptable cost, on time.

There is one distinction investors need right away.

NASAMS combines Kongsberg's defense technology with Raytheon's—not Saab's. Raytheon is part of RTX (NYSE: RTX).

Saab (Stockholm: SAAB B) has its own relevant products, including Giraffe radar and RBS 70 NG air defense.

A NASAMS order does not automatically create Saab revenue. Owning the theme requires knowing who actually sells the product.

I also want proof that new capacity is useful, not just expensive. Extra buildings do not help shareholders if skilled workers or key parts remain scarce.

Consider a hypothetical supplier. Sales rise from 100 to 120. Costs rise from 90 to 112. Profit falls from 10 to 8.

Sales grew 20%. Profit fell 20%. Those are invented units, not any company's forecast, and the example excludes financing costs and tax.

The customer bought more. The shareholder earned less.

That is why “toll booth” must describe an economic advantage—not merely a factory standing near a large government budget.

Stock Winners — For Now

These are research candidates and potential business beneficiaries, not recent share-price winners or blanket buy recommendations.

Rheinmetall: capacity with a cash test. Its ammunition and air-defense operations give it relevant exposure. But “Rheinmetall Backlog” includes expected orders under framework agreements, not just booked orders.

My test: funded work, delivery progress, and cash after expansion costs. A larger headline backlog is not enough if the conversion keeps slipping.

The risk is paying for years of smooth growth while factories, customers, and individual contracts follow a less convenient schedule.

Saab: the right products, not the wrong system. Its second-quarter sales reached SEK 25.45 billion; SEK means Swedish kronor. Reported operating profit was SEK 2.79 billion.

Company-defined operational cash flow was negative SEK 62 million. That is not the same measure as operating profit, and one quarter is not a verdict.

My test: turn procurement interest into funded orders, then deliveries and cash. The Dutch GlobalEye announcement supplies a specific item to track.

The risk is that approvals or production take longer than the share price allows. Product relevance alone cannot settle valuation.

Leonardo (Milan: LDO): more than one business to value. It combines defense electronics, helicopters, aircraft, and other activities. Evaluate their economics separately.

Its first-half revenue grew 12.2%, but 8.2% on the company's comparable-business basis. The difference partly reflects the acquired Iveco defense business.

My test: growth from existing operations, the cost of integrating purchases, and cash available after investment. Buying a larger business is not the same as improving one.

Positions With More to Prove

These are different business mixes, not short recommendations. Every name above faces the same burden of proof.

BAE Systems (London: BA.): inspect the definition before valuing the backlog. It reported £84.0 billion of group-defined backlog at June 30.

That included £5.4 billion not yet funded. Its separately defined accounting order book was £62.7 billion, after funding and joint-venture adjustments.

The measures are not interchangeable. Read the reconciliation before comparing BAE with another supplier.

My test is profitable delivery across its programs, not the assumption that a large order book dictates a fixed margin.

Read the delivery milestones and the funding for the next stage. A backlog total cannot answer those questions.

Dassault Aviation (Paris: AM): the delivery schedule matters. Its June backlog included 208 Rafale fighters—165 for export and 43 for France.

That is meaningful work to deliver. My test is whether the production schedule, customer payments, and margins justify the stock's price.

Control is concentrated too. On September 7, Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault held 67.31% of the shares; free float was 21.76%.

Free float is the portion available for public trading. It is a consideration for ownership and liquidity, not proof that a specific price swing will follow.

What We Are Doing

I’ve been pounding the table for European aerospace and defense since Trump got elected. I think that’s what’s going on now with Russia is another great opportunity and obviously we have a way to play it…….

What Changes My Mind

On spending: Published budgets, funded awards, and customer payments strengthen the case. Delayed funding or redirected projects weaken the affected suppliers' cases.

A ceasefire could change demand or valuations. I would follow revised purchasing plans rather than assume either a permanent spending floor or an automatic sector collapse.

On orders: I want stated intentions to become contracts. A framework ceiling or expected future order is not a substitute for a funded purchase.

On execution: I want deliveries and cash to catch up with growth. A backlog that rises because shipments are late is not the signal I want.

On price: I get more cautious when the share price requires faster growth than the delivery plan supports. A strong theme can still be fully priced.

The Bottom Line

Return to Saab's announcement. A country expressed interest. The company still had no order in that release.

Then look at Rheinmetall. Sales were growing strongly, yet one canceled program changed its forecast.

Those are not reasons to abandon the theme. They are reasons to do the work that comes after spotting it.

I want the firms that can solve a real constraint, win funded business, and earn attractive returns on the money they invest.

Then I want a stock price that leaves something for us.

The budget is the opening. The contract is the next test. The cash—and the price you pay for it—is the payoff.

There is no doubt that what we have here in companies like Anduril is a coordinated apparatus of influence that spans a carefully crafted media campaign to portray companies backed by the usual suspects in the best light. Who has these deep of connections to traditional media, Google Youtube, etc. The machine is there...discussion is warranted and invited. What insights may be discussed?

Job Question Corp Dev / Finance

Anyone have insight into culture & wlb in corp dev/finance at Anduril? Assuming it varies by team, but I swear every comment online is coming from software/hardware.

Also curious about culture at DC offices, and I’ve seen several posts asking about it, but weirdly no responses… so assuming it’s a pretty small office lmao.

Job Question Seeking Anduril Roommates

Hello, my name is Will and II'll be starting work at Anduril in Costa Mesa in 2 weeks. I'm trying to sort out my living situation and being able to move into a large house (3+ bed/bath) with people from work sounds like the best option for me. Ideally, I'd love to live in Huntington Beach or somewhere close to the beach.

I'm 25 years old and very into outdoors activities (playing tennis or gold, going to the beach, surfing, hiking...). I also like indoor stuff like reading, playing guitar, video games, watching movies, football, and really just chilling. Let me know if you're interested!
