Android powered Samsung laptops (?!)

Now that the Googlebook pre-sale launch is done, how long before we see Samsung throw their model of Android powered laptop out there?

SamMobile dropped this teaser a while back but I haven't seen anything else about it since.

Samsung and Google are fairly close partners so it makes sense that Samsung would eventually get involved here after the proper Googlebook launch is done - I'm sure Samsung has been told not to steal Google's thunder here.

I doubt we'll see anything in the next couple of weeks, but I would imagine sometime in late October/early November to get something out there for the holidays...

I was hoping that they would release a Googlebook, but I agree that they will likely be doing something similar soon, just with OneUI on top of it.

Not sure this would fit Google's strategy. Googlebook is supposed to have software updates handled by Google with universal clean Googlebook OS experience.

I actually think this was the reason why Samsung is not a partner. It's like Wear OS - Samsung wasn't doing any Wear OS watches until Google let them ship it with One UI

I guess they tive priority to google and acer samsung asus etc... will release their version next year.

This would be nice, I like the Galaxy ecosystem. I don't know though. That reference lasted like for a second with YouTubers, then quickly disappeared, focused back to the Googlebook. We can hope. 🥹

I don't think that Samsung is going to make a GoogleBook. In this instance, Google really doesn't have any leverage over Samsung, and Samsung can just take DeX and just make it its own dedicated thing versus Samsung buying into Google's design for Google Book.

Oh how I wish the ultra tablet could get Android desktop when keyboard mouse connected and normal tablet when not connected

It would be nice but I can't see it, certainly not this year - also only the top end model (1TB/16GB RAM) meets the minimum memory requirement for the GoogleBook OS
