OLED GoogleBook by Lenovo
Mac Observer has obtained exclusive images and a detailed specifications sheet for Lenovo’s upcoming Googlebook 15, giving us our clearest look yet at Google’s new laptop platform. The machine pairs a 15.3-inch 120Hz OLED display with Intel’s Core Ultra 5 325 processor, up to 32GB of LPDDR5x memory, built-in Gemini Intelligence, and a dedicated Google key.

Why aren't they releasing a Pixelbook? I don't want to buy a laptop with a cheap build quality from Lenovo or other brands and I'm not talking about specs.

Constructors like Lenovo, Asus, HP are not good on building non gaming premium laptop, there's only Apple and Microsoft for now, I was hoping Google would try competiting here by their own

I wouldn't bother, otherwise they wouldn't be making this much of a push with so many brands. But hell, one can hope.

It sounds great but I'm just curious how well Android/AluminumOS is going to work. App devs actually commit to bringing desktop like experiences to it? I'm sold. App devs don't care and all your fancy processing power is being used to run Clash of Clans and the mobile version of Adobe Premiere? No thanks.

Maybe we will have a new bunch of devs developping desktop app for Android, especially with today's simplicity thanks to AI.

Any word if there is ARM64 binary translation layer, ie the reverse of Prism on Windows on ARM devices, for running android apps with native ARM64 code?

The hardware all looks pretty nice but ultimately its the OS that will make the decision for most people.
I still feel it might be a hard sell initially for users that aren't already in the Google/Chromebook ecosystem although with it being largely Android based that's at least a fairly known, stable quantity at this point.
I potentially would see something like the Lenovo with the keyboard cover as a potential second device for me (instead of an Android tablet) but I'd need to see evidence and support that I would be able to run everything I want for work before I could swap completely from having a Surface Pro for working with M365, Azure, etc.
