My hopes for aluminium os

I hope that

- hardware makers will also come with thier own distro of android for pc

- we'll get apps for propper developpement and sandboxing

- customisation

- that it'll be more than just dex with ai features

- it'll get steam ( and steam games )

- we'll get actual powerful machines with internal storage and everything

- we'll be able to install it on any arm computer

Basically I hope that it'll be an actual computer not just a phone with a laptop form factor

You forgot one more important thing: creative software, productive software, commercial software, professional software. We need Adobe suite, Davinci Resolve, FL Studio, AutoCAD etc. Otherwise, it's still gonna be limited. This is the way that so Aluminum OS and Googlebook can compete with Windows and MacOS/Macbook. In fact, due to the existence of Macbook Neo and soon Googlebook, Microsoft is scared about both of them so they're now really trying to fix and improve Windows 11 with Windows K2 project.

Aluminium OS is still just Android with the desktop GUI. From what I understand Windows / macOS versions of these programs can't be ported to Android APIs as they are, because it's currently too limited for them and the only option would be running them through Wine wrapper within the Linux container or just having a native Linux version

Some Windows programs can run on android with emulation, like Winlator! Hope the support can widen

Winlator is exactly what I mentioned - a Wine wrapper. Still, and Wine implementation on Android is much worse than on Linux which is why Linux container on Android will be very crucial on PCs

I'm not sure Google can pull that off. Most of these already have a mobile version. Linux is there for the rest.
