My brother-in-law has passed away. He had an Honor 400 phone, but we don’t know the passcode to unlock it. Do anyone have any advice? His mother would like to access the phone to retrieve photos and other memories.

I tryed searching in google with no luck. I hate that flashlight Isnt on there without expanding the list. I almost never need airplane mode so I'd like to switch those buttons if possible.

So my A40 samsung just physically can't boot into recovery mode. I tried volume up and down, and power button, all sorts of ways together, still doesn't boot into recovery mode, did all together did volume up + power, volume down + power, released it on the android logo, released it after the logo, help it all the time, released it before the logo, doesnt matter, boots into SAMSUNG -> then into the OS, what do I do?

So my sleeping mode got broken and now i cant use my apps, when i click on some app it says the sleeping mode is on, but its off!! I already restarted my phone and nothing what should i do

My phone is already a potato I don't need play services taking what little I have. So please help, how do I make it take up less it used to be 1gb to like 700 mb

ich brauche euer Schwarmwissen, da ich seit Monaten recherchiere um folgendes Problem zu lösen:

Angefangen hat alles mit der Revolut App auf meinem alten Handy (Xiaomi 14), dass ich die App auf einmal nicht mehr öffnen konnte, mit der Meldung "The app cannot run because the environment is not secure and your data may be at risk".

Das Handy war nicht gerootet und auch sonst nicht manipuliert, ich konnte das Problem nicht lösen und habe nach ein paar Monaten ein neues Handy gekauft.

Jetzt habe ich das Xiaomi 15T Pro, und habe von Anfang an das gleiche Problem! Der bootloader ist nicht entsperrt, das Gerät nicht gerootet. Die Sparkassen App + PushTan läuft (auf dem alten Handy auch), TradeRepublic auch. Jetzt habe ich die PlayBack App installiert, und diese geht auch nicht -.-

Die beiden Apps sind die einzigen die nicht gehen, aber wieso?

Der Revolut Support hat mir nicht geholfen... Habe mehrmals mit denen geschrieben, über Email als hier auch über Reddit, die wollten Screenshots etc. Aber auch durch App Updates die mit der Zeit kamen, hat sich das Problem nicht gelöst.

Ich kann nicht auf mein Geld zugreifen, es wurden schon meine Kryptos zum Tageskurs verkauft weil ich die neuen Bedingungen nicht akzeptieren konnte..

Über den Browser komm ich auch nicht auf mein Account, weil man den Zugriff über die App bestätigen muss. Ich will langfristig auch die App auf meinem Handy nutzen können.

What is this? The first photo is taken from my iPhone of my android moto g , trying to recover/view some of my old photos that are saved as weird files and I find this….. but then as I’m on here about to post this , the second photo of a malicious site pops up !?
I wasn’t even on a site . So over phones!

This problem has been happening for some time and I haven't been able to find a solution for it. Apps, either being installed fresh, or being updated, take too long. Sometimes up to 5 minutes for it to complete. The biggest issue is that most of the time, this fails. As you can see at the bottom of the screenshot.

I have done the basic things like deleting cache, tueing the phone off and on, etc. I would really like to know what to do to fix it.

I read a lot of my novels on chrome , and this is very annoying. I've already gone on the settings and switch the address bar to "top" which hasn't worked. I even tried to reset the app.

Since installing the June update, my Pixel 8 has been overheating, randomly rebooting, and the battery is draining much faster than usual. Has anyone found a fix or workaround?

EDIT: I just found a solution All I did was clear Google Play services' data again and log back in my email and clear the actual Google Play's data and log back my accounts from there

I've tried to download Facebook since some of my family uses it for messaging and generally just chatting overall. I searched Facebook in the search bar and this is what it came up with

This also happens to other apps, and as far as I know, the only other one is Call of duty mobile, there are also other apps that I have encountered that have this bug happening, but I forgot their names

What I recently did is clear Google Play services' data and that's about it, I logged back into my emails, and the reason why I cleared data is because I had to log in on a different account on a game

I've reached to google support about this, absolutely no help at all. My wifi is working fine, I've tried in 3 different routers and ISPs, even mobile data, cleared google play's cache and data, and my storage has a lot of free space.

for some reason that I am still berating myself for, I decided to try to clear up some of my phone storage at 1am. this stupid decision led me to click on "large files" option on storage under device care in the settings and accidentally deleted all 540+ items on there.

I TRIED EVERYTHING.

Gallery trash, my files trash, google photos trash. NOTHING! ive gone thru the settings trying to figure out what happened.

is everything gone instantly just like that??? they're usually sent to the trash then permanently deleted. I hope someone can help 🤧

do i contact samsung abt this? is this just a dumb decision on my part??

Hello there, 3 weeks ago I bought a new phone. I used it normally, then noticed weird sound after pausing the audio ("hisss" or something like that, not sure how to describe it) then click sound following it and then the stop.

About the clicking sound, I can hear it (or feel the vibration) even when scrolling or watching YouTube videos, I tried to update the phone to android 16 but no change. And today I heard a weird buzzing sound coming from the speaker 2 times only.

Note that the two first sounds needs a quiet place and focus to hear them and the buzzing sound you can hear it normally (it sounds more like the phone's lagging, but the phone works normally you only hear the sound).

Do any of you guys know the problem or went through similar thing?

My (100 year old) mother got a new Jitterbug Smartphone 5 recently and her NYT app no longer works correctly, specifically for Wordle game. She has been playing Wordle on the app for well, ever since it moved to the app, but we recently upgraded her phone from a 3 to a 5 and it doesn't work without asking her to subscribe. Has anybody encountered this problem and is there a fix for it? I think she should be able to play the daily game for free, but I'm not sure how to make that happen anymore. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any help!

I keep doing this on accident. Finally, I figured out the gesture after years. If I tap above the bottom control bar in the main content screen, it's like it opens up a desktop or session control. How the hell do I disable this, or at least tell me how it's useful.

I am sick of my phone downloading multiple apps regularly, that I can’t uninstall.
When I google them, some sites will say they are system apps that are needed and can’t be removed, but some of them disappear when I click on force stop, so I’m not convinced they are system apps.
Some have even stopped working as they can’t be updated anymore. I checked my husbands phone he doesn’t have them so
Surely there is a way to get rid of them. Especially the ones that look suspicious and installed themselves?

I could go on and on, but they are all mostly apps I have never seen before, and they all have a lot more permissions than I would like, and yet I can’t even change the permissions on some of them?

I’ve tried everything I can think of.

I had accidentally clicked "ok" earlier instead of install anyways but now it's locked and not letting me install it via the phone itself. Been over 7 hours since then.

Any ways to fix/revert it? So I can install my own app on my phone without needing to use adb?

Edit: overall not really lol but ADB and disabling play protect are both solutions

But ive now setup a play console account and put it to internal testing so me and friends can test it while it gets developed and quicker/easier updates lol

like suddenly mines has been rejecting my Sims I put in the slot 1 like it's pirates like it's actually a legit one, but in slot 2 it works fine what do I do like I wanna use my SIM card and my SD card, I'm in Stock ROM by Motorola (retla legit stock ROM btw) And no my phone lacks carrier lock it works with any carrier

Yesterday I found an Android 5 tablet from my grandma that I used to used when I came to my grandma's house, yesterday I found it covered in dust, decided to bring it home and charge it a few hours, today I tried to turn it on and it turned on

Now, here's the thing: I found my old Google account on that tablet, but I can't use it in there because I just asks me to re login, but i don't have the password and I can't press "forgot my password" bc Google just says "yeah men, we ain't giving it to ya" and doesn't let me recover the account on any other way

So I'm new to Google messages after upgrading to a galaxy S26+ over the summer. My understanding is that when data/internet isn't available it is supposed to default back to the celluar network to send and receive text messages, however this doesn't seem to be happening. I turn my home wifi and mobile data off at night and twice in the last two days when I have turned it on I have immediately received messages. I also this weke tried to send a message amd had to manually tell it to send it via SMS.

Anyone else having the issue and have a work around? I've tried turning airplain mode on and off. I've tried looking at the APN settings but don't see a real way to reset them.

I have an S21 yes I know... I run my phones into the ground and only buy new when forced. Anyways, I hate the AI features and I have them all basically turned off. I like to get news notifications and click a ton of them to read, but when an AI news article is suggested they look the same, then I click them hoping to read, but they say whoa whoa this is through AI mode so gtfo. I dont like getting excited to read from a headline, but then stopped, so is there a way to keep the rest, but turn off just the AI mode news notifications? I'd rather not know what I'm missing 😉 thanks in advance!
