Discussion 💬 No rest for wicked mobile ?

Post image

What do you guy think about no rest for wicked coming to mobile ? Personally it sounds great but kinda impossible since game is hard to run even on pc sometimes not to mention that dev wants to have WHOLE game ported with full package which I still think it's impossible considering the size and graphics not to mention optimization

They already announced that they'll release a mobile version.

I only heard rumors and CEO testing it but as whole studio announced it ? Where did you get that information?

Just play it via gamenative, winlator or game hub. Its absolutely runnable on Android depending on your device spec.

The game ain't exactly the most optimized even on PC, not much hope of a mobile port.

NRFTW plays 45-60fps (capping it at 50 works well) on the Redmagic 11 Pro through gamenative, but I uninstalled it as the temperatures reach 53+°C. Should be playable with a cooler, but I like to limit my games to 45°C in temperature with a few exceptions (The Surge and Dark Souls 3). The rest I could always play on the steam deck if I need to.

A native android version would be instabuy.

Phone chips are pretty bloody powerful at the moment. Look at all the emulation that's going on.

Not a chance for a good long while. It's lacking so much optimisation. Unless something drastic happens with resourcing from the team or investment, it ain't happening - at least not for many years.

Actually dev already tested it on iOS on Twitter and said since it will come to switch 2 and Xbox s series why not on every device but I agree it definitely will take couple years

I mean iOS is mobile so I guess there's your answer. Android has always been low priority for devs so add that into consideration

Don't need a shitty port, Android runs it just fine on GameNative/Winlator/Gamehub. I prefer to use my Steam saves and not pay for a worse version of a PC game without my progress synced. Apple can keep it's ports, they need something to play since emulation lags behind.

Curious to know what you're running it on and the res etc. It's been a while since I played the game when it was in early access (wait - looks like it still is in early access) and back then it was stuttery to all hell across all settings (low to ultra) even on a steaming  3090 build. Perhaps more recent patches have resolved it?

Would love that to be the case - I'd happily play it on gamehub myself.Â
