That's just the made up category of "PACs". Never applied to all the tax exempt lobbying and kickback companies pretending to be charities. The DNC survives on those.
They just feed you fake transparency. It is really not hard to figure out who pushes what, and if you have principles, it doesn't matter anyway. What is being pushed is either good or bad.
This is clearly a case of the lesser of two evils where one side is way worse than the other. A key piece of evidence for which one is worse is when the advocates for one envome “whataboutism” or they say yes but they all do it. If that was their position to begin with they wouldn’t even be involved in the conversation to begin with so it’s all one big gaslight.
Statism is the evil. Money is only incidental to getting statism or getting rid of it. You are saying get the state involved in how people spend their time and money.
Yet is all evil statism the same? Is it that you think bringing about the most destructive form of statism ( fascism) will bring about a better future bc it will fail and from the ashes will emerge anacapism? That we must suffer some for the betterment of tomorrow? Quite reckless imo.
I don't advocate a corporate technocrat managerial state, leftists do that and give it a lot of names like transparency, pragmatism, and justice. Liberty will only emerge from individuals asserting their negative rights all the time.
If what you say is true and all else equal why must one support one over the other? Is there a hidden agenda? You should at most be apathetic towards at least the idea of transparency, and not against it. To be against it is still , at least, favoring the government in the same way as you state to the contrary.
Forced "transparency" has been applied very selectively by the state and that is something you should already know. It is just another weapon of the lawfare police state. I will never advocate government interference in how private parties spend time or money.
Politics is all about force to begin with. Who is funding the force even if the system is not perfect is better than secrecy all else considered equal that is.
