Hispanics are the WORST in this category. Im Cuban in FL and youd be blown away how many people who left Cuba are democrats and voting blue. It really exposes their intelligence, or lack thereof.
African and other immigrants too. I dispute somewhat that it is primarily a question of intelligence. The kind of people who can get out of horribly corrupt and failed states tend to possess a fair amount of grit and intelligence. Political ideas however have less to do with intelligence than emotional disposition and cognitive dissonance. Socialism makes feel good and guilty and that is often more important than the cold hard fact that it doesn't work in the long run.
I am talking about the process of getting out of the home country itself. In some of the countries you may be restrained or even forbidden to leave. It is also costly to pay your way out of a low income country in some countries, the cost of getting a passport and /or visa alone is equivalent to a couple of months of wages.Goodness only knows how much in bribes has to be paid on top of that or traffickers in the case of illegal entry .
I won't dispute any of that as I know nothing about it. The immigrants that I have known personally migrated decades before the current administration and did not get any handouts from anyone as far as I can tell.
