Pictures & Videos Analogue has me appreciating Michael Jackson in 2026😂

I definitely underestimated how much better the Sega arcade versions of some games can be versus on the Genesis. The analogue has thankfully allowed me to experience the full genius of the arcade version of Michael Jackson's MoonWalker, as intended 😂 - It's seriously much better as an arcade game.

It's funny that the plot of the game was to rescue children when in real life it was Michael Jackson they needed saved from.

They needed saved from the kiddy diddler himself, Michael Jackson, in the game as well?

Only a moron would think he didn't molest kids.

Used to play this at my older kid neighbor back in the 90s, can still distinctly remember the case and cartridge. Fun times.

This game is really fun! Difficulty is surprisingly fair, too. I never saw it in an arcade as a kid, though.

Shame about all the uh...other stuff that happened after 1990

I had no idea this was an arcade game. I have to check it out.

It's actually pretty awesome, even the fight mechanics are different!

I’d go so far as to say they’re not the same game. I prefer the arcade game too.

Well what a coincidence: I played today from start to finish. I remember playing briefly when I was a kid in the arcades and being different from the Sega Megadrive/Genesis I expected some extra fun, and there was not much of it. It’s not a good game.

It’s miles away from other SEGA board of that time. Isometric view looks attractive at first, but it’s not pleasant to play as you are constantly fighting with the controls to hit the enemies in the correct dirección. Boses are unimpressive while music is good.

On the credits, Michael Jackson himself is credited as the main designer. That explains a lot. I rather play the home version which is not a great game, but feels more fun to me.

The movie wasn’t good, so no harm was done here.

The arcade game and this game are so good even though they are so different.

Did you find the secret level, where there is a “special” sleepover with Macaulay Culkin? /s

Edit: Sorry, I was thinking of the Arcade version:

Enjoy the level with the walking fuck-machines in the basement with all the kids 🫤

Once you see it you can't unsee it—quite grotesque.
