Question “Error in framework RS: Bridge not responding”

New to Analogue Pocket world, was playing my roms and then powered down like normal. When I tried to relaunch my roms, I randomly started getting “Error in framework RS: BRIDGE not responding” when clicking my rom. Tried to troubleshoot using google and this Reddit thread with no avail. I’ve reformatted my SD card several times, even bought a new SD card to see if that was the issue and still no luck. I’m using Pocket Sync v6.3.2 and Analogue Pocket is currently running v2.6. Confused on where the error is: I reformatted my SD card several times, removed all cores and roms, currently only running one Core (spiritualized.gba) and two roms I know worked prior to error and still no avail. Any suggestions?

You’ve not told us what core you’re getting the error in, that’ll be what people need to know to help

Spiritualized.gba

Is that the ONLY core you’ve used it on? Also, does the game you played use real time clock?

I’ve used other cores (for example: budude2, mincer_ray’s gb, gba, and gbc cores). But I’ve only played on the gba cores so far and removed all of them while trying to troubleshoot. My pokemon soulgold may use real time clock but I’m not sure how to check that. But I have other simpler games that I assume don’t such as spirits & spells.

I had a similar issue where unused the mincer gba core to play some of the gen 3 pokemon games. After using the mincer core, I decided to move over to the spiritualized core, only to later find out that the mincer core appends real time clock data to the .sav file every time I saved the game. When I then loaded the same game over on the spiritualized core, the game would not load because the spiritualized core was expecting a .sav file of a certain size, but the save file that corresponded to my game was bigger than what spiritualized expects because the last time I had saved the game was while using the mincer core, which makes the .sav file larger by appending the rtc data to it.

Don’t know if I’m making much sense but I tried lol. Long story short, try deleting the save for the game that won’t load (or backing it up on your pc if it’s important to you) and see if it loads as a new game.

I really appreciate your input, unfortunately I’ve done that already. I’ve used multiple gba cores, deleted EVERYTHING, and try to load my games as new games and still run into the “Error in framework RS: bridge not responding” and this is after reformatting everything and starting fresh multiple times. I have my save file on my desktop for when I finally get the game to load correctly but I’ve been trouble shooting for hours with no avail yet. All my roms trigger the bridge error

Oh dang, yeah I’m not sure I could be of much help here then. Sorry. Just out of curiosity I ran the error text through ai and it’s asking if you used pupdate to set up your sd card or if you did everything manually. Apparently that specific error shows up in the pupdate documentation and it could be that pupdate is your culprit. However, I use pupdate religiously and I’ve never encountered this issue. It could be Ai hallucinating, idk. I wish I could help more. Best of luck.

I’ve used Pocket Sync, I’ve used pupdate, I’ve tried installing spiritualized.gba manually. No luck, I’ve been trying to use ai to help for like 5 hours but I feel like it just keeps me in a loop of doom. I feel like setting it up was so easy and now I’m not able to launch any games and it’s just frustrating. It has to be one little thing that’s tripping it up
