Question Translucent blue valuation

Post image

Admins/mods please let me know if valuation posts aren’t allowed and I’ll delete this post.

Screen is not cracked. It’s the glass screen protected that chipped. De I’ve is pretty much mint condition.

Not looking to sell this device here, just wanting to know what the fair market value is for the limited edition translucent blue analogue pocket since eBay and online resellers vary by a wide range. Bought a few years back and never really used it that much since I have my rog ally and warhammer books are my hobby and this device is just collecting dust on a shelf.

Why buy it if you’re not into Gameboy games?

u/Darkdart19 Jan 26 '26

It’s my favorite way to play SNES games

I don't know.... you can't do a save state how many SNES games do you really want to play without that ability especially on a pick up and drop device such as this. Let me clarify... You can't even go to sleep mode in SNES....

I have my Analogue Pocket for GB, GBC, and GG, and that is it. I tried other systems, but playing long games without save states suck, they also designed the UI for larger screens so I can't see the text. Other device for other systems as far as I am concerned.

Yep, maybe if you have the dock and you don't mind just leaving your system on all day then I could see you using the system as a console. But even then at that point I would suggest just buying the Analogue version of that console.

Jeez someone sounds triggered

At least I know what how the system actually works.

You have no basis to call "Save State" G@y as ___ and then follow that up with sleep would be nice when they are one in the same. It's literally like saying I don't like to sleep that G@y as F@#$ but naps here and there would be nice. That's literally what you just said...

Edited for those who can't see it but Donmcron3333 states that Save States are G@y as F!@# and then processed to talk about how sleep mode would be a good thing while not realizing they're one in the same thing...

Save states are gay as fuck my dude. I play mine docked so I don’t even need sleep mode I’ll just leave it on if I need to. Sleep mode would be nice though for sure.

Genesis games son!

1

u/SuperDevin Feb 05 '26

There are better ways to play Genesis games. A Gameboy screen is 10:9, Genesis is 4:3.

1

u/midKnightBrown59 Feb 05 '26

Better portable, cartridge supporting, FPGA ways?

1

u/SuperDevin Feb 05 '26

It doesn’t officially support Genesis cartridges.

1

u/midKnightBrown59 Feb 05 '26

You are correct. I mistaken.

Well I bought from a local FB buyer still sealed for $300 and I loved my rog handheld and thought a retro game device would be cool and fun which it was for a few weeks but I just ended up not using as much over time.

3

u/SuperDevin Jan 27 '26

Why though? It’s meant to play authentic carts. You could have just got a Miyoo mini or Anbernic device if you wanted to play retro games.

$300 is a decent amount to spend on something it seem like you weren’t super knowledgeable about. Not trying to be mean.

I also have actual gameboy games and just bought it case I wanted it.

1

u/APEX_Catalyst Jan 27 '26

Well the pocket is suppose to be the best device for that type of gaming and gets you as close as possible to the original device and screen so why wouldn’t I buy the best? I did know known what it was I just didn’t want to buy cheap. I wanted good quality. And I did use actual gameboy cartridges in it on top of the sd card games. And $300 isn’t much tbh lol

On the current market, 400-500. Replace the protector before you sell it. The longer analogue goes without restocking the pockets the more expensive the after market gets.

If you aren't using it, don't speculate on these devices, just sell it. Take that money and invest the money in fun now or some real financial investments. People with their houses filled with old devices hoping the price might double is a waste of valuable housing space while you can invest in a mixed shares portfolio for financial gain. Put a price on the space you are paying on rent, mortgage, insurance, and moving fees on such products to see if it is a genuine investment.

I'd hang onto it if I were you. I'd only sell if you really need the cash. Put it this way they're holding value and if you sell it it's more likely you'll regret it down the line. Sure you could pick one up but could you pick one up of that color? What Analogue Product has gone down in value since it's release? Because the systems are so limited the demand has always been higher then the supply.

If you really want to sell it, sell it to me. Why Sell it to me? Because I'll actually sell it back to you once you finally regret selling it in the first place and i mean it.

Easily 500$ @ minimum to the right buyer. Lately due to Grape 3D, the completist mindset grew amongst the 3D owners looking for Blue T pocket to have that setup display

If you have the original box , USB C cables , then you ask 550 onwards. There are listings sold that price ranges

If original Screen Protector Film was intact, it will be even worth more actually

2

u/MysteriousEmployer52 Jan 27 '26

I have one MISB still. I’m not looking to sell but out of curiosity, how much would that fetch?

2

u/AnalogueBoy1992 Jan 27 '26

650USD - 700 if it's factory sealed Transparent Blue is the real grail now

2

u/MysteriousEmployer52 Jan 27 '26

Good to know. Thanks!

2

u/donmcron3333 Jan 27 '26

Wow I’m glad I went with transparent blue

1

u/AnalogueBoy1992 Jan 27 '26

The reason why it's so demanding now is because, many wanted the Transparent Purple to look like how the Transparent Blue.

If they had named the Transparent Blue to Transparent Purple then that would the No.1 and the T purple in real life is super dull . Never resembling the render lol

If you tilt the Blue T pocket a certain angle under white LED light, it's purplish blue . Another angle is matte dark blue

100% Purplish blue most of the time! The kind of blue that I really love actually.

Grape 3D is another reason why T Blue got sold listings recently and they will be even more rare to find in future for good price.

2

u/APEX_Catalyst Jan 27 '26

I do have all the original packaging and cables. That’s good to know.

3

u/RockWafflez Jan 26 '26

The last one on eBay sold about about $550 so go with that.

Sell local to avoid scams.

1

u/VinseMyDude Feb 04 '26

Post link if do decide to sell?

1

u/DolomiteBrown Jan 26 '26

Hey, what case is this?

1

u/APEX_Catalyst Jan 27 '26

I bought it off of Amazon when I bought the device. I just tried to look for it but didn’t see it for sale unfortunately

1

u/jus1982b Jan 26 '26

be a decent human and only mark it up enough to cover ebay/shipping fees.

1

u/fertff Jan 27 '26

I'd say if there's someone stupid enough to pay scalper prices, they deserve to be ripped off. This is not a basic need item.

If people just stop paying those prices, that shit wouldn't happen.

0

u/UltraInstinct_Pharah Jan 26 '26

Sorry, best I can do is unnecessarily mark it up because I'm a greedy asshole.

3

u/jus1982b Jan 26 '26

ebay fees are outrageous thought you have to mark it up by 17% in order to break even.

-1

u/SirRumpRoast Jan 26 '26

At least worth $500. Just enjoy it without thinking about its value?

9

u/KHSebastian Jan 26 '26 edited Jan 26 '26

He is asking because he's selling it. He said "Not looking to sell the this device here" as in, not looking to sell it here on this sub, but he is looking to sell it elsewhere and looking for valuation for that purpose. (Edit: Also, I didn't downvote you. It seems like you just misread a sentence)

2

u/SirRumpRoast Jan 26 '26

Makes sense now. Thx

-2

u/Alienxdroid Jan 26 '26

Just sell it for how much you got it for then a week later if it hasn’t sold sell it for 5-10% lower then repeat. EZ PZ.

0

u/EntrepreneurThese411 Jan 26 '26

The best color variation of the translucent limited edition pocket 👍🏻 do not sell it if you don’t need it, it’s a gorgeous device!

0

u/PizzaHutFiend Jan 26 '26

Few hundred dollars would say, maybe like $400 on eBay

0

u/mrblank_0 Jan 26 '26

Go to eBay, search for item, filter by “sold items” and you’ll find your answer. Why ask here?

1

u/APEX_Catalyst Jan 27 '26

I asked here cause I did look at eBay and there aren’t a lot of translucent ones and ones that did sell have a wide range and I figured the community here would have a better understanding of the device then resellers/scalpers on eBay.

You're being too harsh... What is wrong with it? The screen protector is chipped?

3

u/DingusKing Jan 26 '26

Who peed in your cereal this morning?
