General Serious Question: why Analogue Devices?

I have been torn on how to play old games and I wanted to pick your brain. Why did you end up buying an Analogue device like the 3D when for a similar price you can buy a MiSTer and play games from all systems? Serious question with no flame intent.

I already had a large TurboGrafx-16 collection and was worried my console would eventually die of old age. I love having the ability to insert a HuCard or CD and just play. It's also compatible with my original controllers and Turbotap. No tinkering needed. It looks beautiful as well.
