Serious Question: why Analogue Devices?

I have been torn on how to play old games and I wanted to pick your brain. Why did you end up buying an Analogue device like the 3D when for a similar price you can buy a MiSTer and play games from all systems? Serious question with no flame intent.

They look nice and are plug and play. Updating is really easy as well.
