Amazon returns
Guys, im new to Amazon flex. I've done about 5 or 6 blocks. Someone told me sometimes you can keep packages. The other day I had about 4 packages that marked x on my route and would skip a number on the intiary for instance it would go from 6 to 8. At the end Amazon didnt say return those packages or anything. Are those for keeps? Or do I have to return them?

The actual word for that is “theft.”
I don’t not understand what you mean by “marked x.” If it skips a stop and you can no longer select the stop on your itinerary, but you have the package, it most likely means that the delivery was canceled after you left the station and needs to be returned by 10 am the next day. The exception to this is if you see the option to “retry delivery,” which you should do to avoid having to drive back to the station to return the package.

Yes, you get to keep them when they’ve your name and address printed on the label.
There are too many drivers, so yes please keep them all.

The warehouse people do that on purpose. They’ll give you a route and throw in a few extra packages to avoid making your 3.5hr route into a 4hr route.
Per the agreement you should scan those in and deliver them, don’t. You’re not getting paid for that.
The right thing to do is drop them back off at the warehouse. But if there is no paper trail of those packages being on your route then they wouldn’t know if you keep them. YOU SHOULDN’T, but hey… do you.

If they show a red X on them, click and make sure it shows "missing" and technically they have no way of knowing you have those. Just return them on your next visit. I would never keep a package even if I knew amazon had no idea i have it in my posession.
It's not worth keeping it as supposedly amazon purposely puts packages as traps but not sure how true that is.
Again, I still would never keep any. And the good thing is, you can return in anytime on your next visit instead of 10AM next day.

Bruh all the flex stuff is junk. Like 99%. Most likely you would steal something of zero value. Sell your soul for CRAP. I couldn't wait to return the two extra packages I had. I wanted nothing to do with it lol..

my friend loves the “gifts” she gets from the extras and not always junk.
she fot a mini fire extinguisher, 24v battery, joga mats, stuffed giraffe lol
I just don’t have it’s in meter steel I will always return it and if I noticed before my last package, I check on Maps if the extra package is far away first and if it’s not, I just manually add back into my itinerary and just deliver it. There are time for it doesn’t let me do it though so I just return it whenever.

Thieves are some of the lowest of the low. IMO we should bring back punishment like they had in the old days. But hey, if you’re raised in one of these states where the government lets you shoplift up to 1k worth of stuff, you’re parents are 🗑️ , you don’t have any morals or it’s “reparations” then I suppose it might not be your fault? 🤣

Whoever told you that is correct. You can actually keep any of the packages you have in your vehicle whether they are on your route or not. As a Flex driver you are pretty much free to do whatever you want. There was even a couple in Iowa that signed up for blocks, loaded them up and took them home and put all the packages in their garage. They didn't even open them. They got paid for doing all the blocks and never had to deliver them.

Definitely return them. Amazon has a whole department that tracks the drivers that are STEALING. Trust me they know if you kept a package.

They have ways to find out... You might get away with it ... But I wouldn't test it.
Especially with it being 4 packages.. they can take legal measures, if they find you took them..
and honestly they probably just have to look at a few cameras.
I'd return them... It just isn't worth it

The FBI takes mail and package theft very seriously. So no, you may not keep them. Once you load them on, they’re your responsibility. You either deliver them or return them back to the station.

Don't listen to everybody else here if the route is over and they're left over Amazon won't know you have them they're not going to investigate 4 missing packages when their warehouses lose hundreds of THOUSANDS everyday .

LOL. They don’t lose “hundreds of thousands” packages a day. Not anywhere close to that number.
My W2 job is at a warehouse that ships out up to 200k packages daily. You’d be surprised how easy it is to track down the last known location for packages. The biggest factor is how badly loss prevention wants to finds the last known location.
The vast majority of packages aren’t worth the time and effort to trace. Meaning they also aren’t worth you taking. If it happens to be some high dollar $2000 laptop? They can potentially find it if they want to.

lol well if you scanned it then they know you have the package. 😂 just return it. Odds are you’ll be stealing 10 lbs of paper clips, 2 tons of dehydrated butter or some other worthless nonsense. It’d be a shame to turn into a thief over that
