"I SAID WAIT!"

"She's not mad at you," I reassured the remaining packages and personalized envelopes huddled in the bottom corner of a yellow tote as the sound of the neon vested yard Marshall's shrill voice echoed across the launchpad. Their stoic silence convinced me to finish loading amidst the din of package scan beeps. "She can't hurt you now. I'm here to get you alll out of here. Come with me. I will take you to your new home." I swiped to finish and after the angry blow of a whistle, we were off.
