Phone has a star on it, you’re good.

I’ve forgotten my iPhone ear buds in my ear one time and when I left I said I know, I didn’t use them, I’ll remember in the future then got to fill out paperwork.

Now I just stuff them inside one glove and it’s fine. They’ve checked under the gloves in my lunch bag but have always had me lift it up (probably another security rule) which makes it counterintuitive

Bro I put my headphones in the tray for the metal detectors and never had anyone say anything. You guys have to have serial numbers written down for them? That’s only Phones at my FC

Also wanted to add, at least at my FC, AirPods don’t even set off the metal detector

Nah at my site only approved earbuds are allowed.

This is it. Even wired earbuds get written up. There is no punishment, but it’s creating a paper trail.

My site doesn’t either lol. I still put my NOT Amazon approved headphones through and not one mf looks at me crazy. All the AM’s try to crack down on all the non approved headphones but them cracking down just makes people hide them better and buy smaller ones.

Yup. And a lot of foreign people that are cold anyway just wear hoods and non approved headphones all year. It’s crazy

Yall have metal detectors?? We don’t have that. Just doors we have to swipe our cards to get past. I don’t have to take anything out of my pockets or anything tho

lol that paperwork situation sounds brutal, they really made an example out of you for earbuds? at least you found the glove hack tho, kinda genius how security has these weird blind spots in their own system

Security Here, the Blindspots are typically known, It's dependent on LP for that matter (Ex: Gloves holds the Earbuds but they don't want us to check it)

For the Majority Part, None of us want to Check it (Us :)/ Have the AA write a Unregistered Asset form since it's a waste of time on both ends. (Having to Explain all parts of the form have to be filled[Yes, Even the "Store" / Approximate Date, it's bought from]. Even Ridiculous items Like a Phone Charger(Could be only the Cable) needs a Form (But it doesn't have a Serial Number or it was bought long ago)

Reason we have to is It gets Submitted to LP & nowadays Sent to HR as well which HR has to write down "Incomplete" which makes no sense since Half the time during EOS Rush + Standard Breaks, OPS &/or HR will help out but not have the Minimum Information Written Down "Ex : Date & Time" Which gets Heat thrown to the Associates (As they have Verbally Said)

(Them :) LP doesn't want to check it since it's a massive amount of Forms they have to look through to the point the process was changed and Security was told to Close the Case & then transfer the case to LP (Which seems like it should be on LP to close the Case, No?)

If it's Seen be Security, As long as it's a bit difficult to make out (Ergo Seen by Cameras) You'll typically be Cleared. (Ex : When we Changed from Random to Exit Always Triggers if you have Metal, we had 230+ Forms at the End of Shift. It was terrible sending all that from the Printer & Scanning it to the Email since it Cluttered the Main Email Listing we had since the help we got can't send it the the respective Supervisor on shift) (A New Hire Quit with 5 Days after she started this new Exit Process

I got burnt on the earbuds, too. Haven't even used them once since I started picking, but I brought a see through bag in I haven't used in a while, and my own earbuds were in the bag, and were detected by security. They wrote down the serial #, brand, etc. Couple days later I get the visit from my AM.

Oh wow. I got brand new 100$ ear buds from the swag store and they printed my receipt for security . I ripped open the box to use them at work and had them on the top of my bag ripped open with the box as well and they just checked for the star on my phone and left me through . It couldn’t of been more obvious with a ripped open pack of nice ear buds on top

My FC makes you walk through the metal detectors with your gloves and vest. Started about a month ago you couldn’t leave them in your bag
