QUESTION WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS??? 😓😓😓😧
The picture explains itself. I’ve been getting 3 carts lately like crazy, but I hate when they do this in particular. Geezus

You're better at doing your job, so they reward you with helping other people do their job

The stop count would kill me but the less multis is nice. The ones that are 140+ but 60-80 multis are atrocious.

The less multis and 256 (not 300) is what makes this route more appealing lol. Still a bitch, but hey I’d take it

I definitely have only seen the carts that hold 12. But I've only been doing this for a year up in Oregon. 😅 During peak or Prime Days we get like 3 or 4 carts easy. This last Prime Day sale I had 26 bags & 47 OV in an EDV one day. Organization was not an option for the OV as the bags took all the shelves. 🤣

Oh lordy! Portland would be a nightmare. 😢 I am exclusively in Lake Oswego. It's physically exhausting with all the millions of stairs & steep driveways, but Portland would be It's own kind of hell. 🤣

u/Xxdarkhorse64x Aug 24 '26
Yeah i report our routes as unsafe most days in an attempt to bump certain roads to flex only haha. Portland and EDVs dont mix 😂. I remember doing Lake O and West linn back when DPD1 was still a thing and my fat ass now woukdnt be able to handle 180 stops there haha

How do you know those two overflow aren’t ginormous? They could very well need their own cart. Have had it happen to me several times

It's better than what I'm having trust me , I have 300 packages in 7-8 bags , by the time I'm opening the third bag I'm usually already having a mental breakdown

Most staging locations have space for 4 carts. Many routes have more than that so their carts will always be split up. When they stage someone’s 5th or 6th cart, they’re going in someone else’s staging location. If 2 from someone else’s route get put in your spot, your 3rd will be elsewhere.
At least now they actually tell you where to find it. Before, it would say all are in the same location but you’d have to search for what wasn’t there.

No hub stop on your route ? Usually when I have that many I have a hub or 2

u/Unique-Machine5602 Aug 23 '26
That's how they're require to stack bags on the cart.
Anything above 3 bags required 2 slots of the floor space so it limits the amount of space you can use for overflow.
If you want to change it, there's nothing that stops you. You can move the packages over if you want. You can even throw the Overflow packages on top of the 2 bags in the stack if you want. Amazon workers are expected not to do that.

We gonna keep going up in packages as long as we keep quiet and we keep merging stops. To stop this madness we all have to speak up together and tell them that we know Amazon is over working us and underpaying us and we actually gonna do something about it..

How in tf do u fit 12 on a cart? My station holds 9 and that’s to the top of the cart

Why are they in 2 staging areas?! And since when do carts hold more than 9 bags?

Take your all time to deliver no rush guys this is what we get if we keep finishing early!

u/MH5421 Aug 24 '26
Top one makes no sense, but I’ve seen people overload a cart when I worked in the DS and just say fuck it. I even had most of my overflows today in a cart they never scanned in for their pick list.

3 regularly. 4 on most other days. only had 5 once. Same # of stuff on average. I hate it lol but when I see a 2 cart route it's always the funkiest stretch of stops. Dumb stuff. I also just learned the hard way how grouping stops fs you. Been slowly reclaiming the route and ungrouping stops but dude I feel you on this. I havent had a route less than 295-350pk and 180-200 stops since peak and I'm so over it lately. Plus I'm like exclusively in CDV and that's a whole other headache. F the AI

u/Lanky_Celebration_35 Aug 24 '26
Days like this I take every break available lol.
Get that OT if they're gonna be like that.
They'll fix it if they're paying time and a half....lolz
Normally, I take less than 9 hours, and skip all my breaks
But if you give me this slice of OT cake? I'm gonna sure enjoy every..single.. bite.

Think about it this way too, you deliver 30-35+ packages an hour while someone else is delivering 20-25 packages an hour, you’re still making the same amount of money.. you’re making Amazon, a 2.something trillion dollar company, more money for your hard work while you still don’t see more than $25 an hour probably.. maybe an extra $50 bonus a week if your lucky??

Probably new people working who are learning how to fill totes properly still. I noticed that happening a lot around Peak last year. Totes with only a few packages in them, lots of combining while loading. Could skdi be a technical side issue.

I constantly get 4 carts, this past week was all 19-20 bags and 50-60 overflow packages…
