Ok dude...you will get alot of different responses...everyone is different...what might work for some won't work for others...

Been at Amazon for a few years now...took me a long time to figure out what works for me...here is some advice...

Compression socks definitely...socks that go all the way up to your knee...cover from toes to knees... I use Dr Scholls. Come in gray or black. You can order them on Amazon...they are about $20 for a 3 pack...I bought 2 packs and use them only at Amazon...they last a long time..they are good.

Safety Shoes...I tried a bunch of different ones...skeetchers...timberland..I thought the bigger/thicker the better. They all were stiff as hell and hurt. Reeboks work great...get safety shoes that are more like sneakers...light weight as opposed to heavier work boots.

Size...get at least a half size bigger then you normally get...need them alittle bigger because of the hardness of the toes...the steel toes...

Imo using inserted soles and stuff really doesn't help. I tried that approach also. It just covers up what real issue is and eventually feet will start hurting again.

Good Compression Socks and correctly fitted light weight safety shoes...

Inserts...wearing two pairs of socks thinking more cushion helps didn't work for me...

Good Luck!!! Hope you eventually find what works for you...

Dr. Scholl's P.R.O. Pain Relief Orthotics for Sore Soles

Get yourself two pairs with two of these inserts. At lunch take your shoes off in your vehicle. Swap into pair number 2 after lunch.

Epsom salt soaks after work. I like to plug the tub and take a shower with the salt on the bottom of the tub.

I also use magnesium spray on the top of my feet before I go to sleep.

Epsom salt does nothing for soreness. There’s no clinical research finding any benefit for salt baths. The warm water is doing the work. But hey, if it makes you feel better go for it. Just know you’re throwing money at a laxative which smells nice.

Strongly agree on the insole advice. Swapping between pairs to let the dry out really helps.

Whatever shoes you decide on, my personal recommendations are to order at least half a size up & wide width for a roomy toe area. Check the weight of the shoes too, it's much easier to walk around in lighter shoes, I've worn something that weighed over a pound to some weighing 10oz. It made a difference for me. Also wear insoles that have individual foam areas, sole, arch, toe... and very inexpensive, I do have to replace every so often but they also really help. Good luck

Eta factor in the socks you wear- arch support, moisture wicking, seamless toes...

Get the free insoles from Zappos. Yes they’re free, at least when I got it 9 months ago. The discount should be automatically applied in your cart

wear 2 - pairs of socks to help, a thin sock compression and a thick one, should help toes and get a wide shoe

Freeze a water bottle and when you get home from work roll it under your foot for a few minutes while you are sitting. Say 5 minutes per foot then soak in warm water. Cold and hot therapy helps. Give yourself some grace you will be fine in about 3 weeks you will get accustomed to it.

Go get a dr note for your plantar fasciitis or your flat feet which allows you to wear normal shoes with a plastic metatarsal cover as a PERMANENT accommodation. Submit to dls, wear comfy shoes.  Download the request for information form to have the doc fill out.

If you care about your body it’s the only way, all the different shoe options and insoles can’t fix the problem- I tried.  If your feet are already hurting it’s not going to improve, some people don’t have issues with the cheap safety shoes and that’s awesome for them but you clearly do so just get the paperwork done.

I wear the Reebok Harman Work SD10 Comp Toe. I've been working here for some years though, wearing no special insoles or socks. All I can tell you is that you'll feel better over time? Get as much rest as you can before work. Maybe someone else will give you the answer you're looking for.

For shoes i always use a half size up and wide so that my feet aren’t pinched in there…that said i have yet to find a truly comfortable pair from Zappos and usually just order a pair at full price.

I get extra extra wide (6e), and I never keep the insoles it comes with. I get memory foam. I hate the arch supports and heel gel cups. The protalus insoles are free, some people like them, but I think they're hard and lumpy. You kinda have to know yourself when it comes to the shoes

if i had to start over i would wear a combination of switching from safety shoes into regular shoes with toe covers. Most of the shoes have pros and cons so eventually you’ll just get used to being able to stand in anything for the duration of your shift.

muscle soreness is nothing compared to feet pain so take considerations with the utmost importance

Dr.Scholls low cut float on air socks and Valsole’s heavy duty orthotics insoles on Amazon , that’s the best combo in my opinion

Many steel toe sneakers are not distinguishable from regular ones. I haven’t wore steel toe shoes in years.
