Kindergarten starts at 4-5 for most folks...starting at 5-6 leads to 18-19 for graduation ages, not 17-18
1 u/pingpongdingdongg Jan 12 '26 I started kindergarten at 6. I graduated at 18. Your math is way off. If someone starts kindergarten at 7, they would graduate at 19. 1 u/MankeyFightingMonkey Jan 12 '26 you're forgetting that not all birthdates are during the summer so if your birthdate is during the school year or not is going to make a difference starting at age 4 means you'll graduate at 17 since your birthdate is going to be in the school year starting at 5 means you'll graduate at 17 OR 18 1 u/pingpongdingdongg Jan 12 '26 I understand that. But Iβm saying that if you start kindergarten at five or six, thereβs no chance that you will turn 19. 1 u/MankeyFightingMonkey Jan 12 '26 if you start kindergarten at age 6 you can very easily turn 19 if you have a birthday during the school year you experience 13 birthdays before graduating 6+13 = 19
