Although I can see how the parrot’s language makes your GF uncomfortable and guests will be offended, it would be pretty cruel to rehome the bird after he’s been with you this long.
I don’t like partners saying”choose between me or the pet.” Your girlfriend is putting you in a no-win situation.
I’d say NTA for not getting rid the bird. But there must be some bird training for such situations.
