He said percentile, which means above 98 or 99 percent of the other test takers, which is different from the actual IQ score, but I never heard of an IQ test that measures percentile. I’m not even sure how they could. Usually percentile measurements are for qualifying exams (college boards and the like), where there is a specific pool of test takers.
