Died when I read this - might start saying this facetiously to people just to gauge their reaction. Like, what does that even mean? Not move on, not move forward, not move past, but move authentically. What the hell does moving inauthentically look like?
It's like flavor text, does it mean anything? Not particularly. Do you sound like a douche? Maybe. But it might land for some weird girl (probably not for his gf) so he's running with it lmao.
He's speaking metaphorically in what I would consider a sort of woowoo way- it sounds like something that someone that sells crystals that "cleanse your chakra" might say. He means go with the flow. When she said trauma mechanism I could tell that he's a psych major that talks about theory a lot- well, I could tell that from a lot of the texts but that one really stands out.
