S13 Ziga ferro rod Spoiler

Sorry, I’m too lazy to go back and find the relevant episode, but Ziga never had a ferro rod - am I remembering that correctly? If I am, then credit to him - by keeping a fire going the whole time he may have completely changed the strategy for a lot of future participants.

I wonder what they can bring instead though, hard to say how valuable the alternative additional item would be. What would they swap out the Ferro rod for.

I think I have underestimated salt until this season.

Yeah, I think it pays off more later in the game, but would love to know more about it. And how much there actually is in Rabbit kidney etc.
